“Wasn’t that fun?” Kimberly asked me. We were walking back to Kimberly’s house from the mall and she was grinning broadly. I wasn’t as smiley, but I couldn’t hide a feeling of happiness and, dare I say, pride. I had made a huge stride in understanding who I was at this point and where my future was heading.
