Going to be on BBC radio! The UK Landscape Photographer of the Year press team contacted me yesterday evening to ask if I would like to go along to BBC Three Counties regional radio studio in London on Thursday lunchtime to take part in an interview session with competition head judge Charlie Waite to discuss landscape photography! They chose me as I've got a shot commended in the competition and I'm landscaper working in and around London.More Like This
How cool is that going to be?! To get to meet one of the top British landscapers, get to talk to him AND get to talk about landscape photography to several dozen listeners! I just need to put on my best job interview voice and ensure I don't say anything worse than the word "heck" when I need an emotionally charged expletive while on air! Ha ha!
Now I'd better get myself to Waterstones and learn something about this photography lark I suppose! LOL!

My commended entry as it appears in the UK LPOTY 2014 book. My image was one of around 100 images selected for printing and display at exhibition from well over 10,000 images submitted annually to the UK LPOTY competition. Probably my proudest achievement to date.

The image on the left was when the image flashed up on the screen during the awards ceremony. The gent facing us from the bar in the lower left is one of my heroes, David Noton. He's one of the best landscape photographers in the UK if not the world and the main reason I shoot landscapes. I went up and spoke to him and he said some really nice things about my image. I put a post on my Facebook page about having met him and he replied that he was sorry we didn't have more time to chat and he thought my image was absolutely brilliant!
