Vampire CollegeThe other day, my dad handed me a printout of an article from a conservative website about going to college. Dad does this from time to time, I think because he suspects I'm a filthy liberal, and wants to send a few shots across the bow to see if I fire back. I usually don't, because I've been through enough warfare to have a better idea of when to pick my battles.
Well, I won't reference the article directly, but the gist of it was that college is a bit of a costly venture that doesn't always yield the results it promises for the price of admission, and may actually do more harm than good. (High schoolers, meditate on that for a minute, please)
Now, the article itself sort of descended into a screed about how colleges just crank out liberals anyway, and liberals tend to vote Democrat, and we should just bust the whole thing up because dear God, we need conservative voters or they'll have a WOMAN in the White House next...
...Which is unfortunate, because "liberal conspiracy" aside, I
Notes on Cornelius as a ShapeshifterA reminder. Cornelius was originally human. He ran afoul of a form-destroying virus which malfunctioned, mutating his body into a genetic hodgepodge of all former hosts of the virus, including himself. Although he's now apparently a monster thing, the virus left his original code intact. Each of his cells contain double DNA strands, one human and one glatni. He's able to express either set at will. But there are lots of catches.More Like This
Just keep in mind that 'unshifted', 'normal', 'actual' Cornelius is glatni, 'shapeshifted' Cornelius is human.
By definition, anything 'magical' that happens in the Network works in conjunction with the nearby dimension, which has different physics. In Cornelius' case, this foots the bill for his change in mass. When he transforms, his shifting field (an area around him pushed drastically nearer the other dimension, temporarily allowing crazy things like all your cells changing at once without killing you) yanks/pushes a whole load of extra matter into/out o

By the end of the two months I was finally getting a handle on things, but alas, all good things must come to an end. I wish I could share some of my work with you, but I am sworn to confidentiality.
I made some good friends while I was there; the art director is a friend to the animation program leader at LASALLE, and he purposefully challenged me to start practicing digital painting. I was sat next to the senior storyboard and concept ar

I'd like to start stating that I thought Shep was gonna die even before I bought ME3; it's sad, but expected. The third ending, where humans and machines melt together just sort of fits (the other two are basically the same, only a few movie seconds here and there are different, but they look a bit stupid after ME1 and 2; control the reapers? seriously? and what for? Kill all geth and EDI after you spent three games trying to save them? And everyone with implants? Not to mention anyone using critical tech based stuff, like ships, relays, space stations... some hero we are!).
