Happy Birthday Savannah! Feature! So, today is my baby sister's ( MissHootLoot ) birthday. Thanks to the nearly white-out snow conditions, I can't go see her today, so I thought I'd make a feature instead. When she was born, I remember it being very warm that day. Our grandpa snuck me around to my mom's hospital bedroom window so I could peek in and see her. I was so excited to be a big sister for the first time and I'm so grateful that I've had her as a partner in crime for the last 27 years. Happy Birthday, Sissy! Hoot! I love you!More Like This

Interview - Seniors Who Were Formerly CVsSenior WeekMore Like This
Today we are interviewing Seniors who have been Community Volunteers in the past
We've all wondered at some point in our DA life "what does it take to become a Senior?" And when we read the official answer on :faq29: We see that there are many reasons for it, but all of those reasons talk about a positive contribution to the community. Well, today :iconSserenita: and :iconTheGalleryOfEve: sat down with some of those former Community Volunteers who are now Senior Members, to talk to them and see how they view Seniority from their perspective. Our interviewees are :iconastralseed:, :iconmaytel:, :iconrydi1689:, :iconthiefoworld:, :icontiganusi: and :iconTommyGK:
How do you feel about Seniority in general?
This is kind of difficult to answer because I don't feel like there is any one feeling attached to seniority. Seniority is a really cool thing and I am happy to be a part of it, but I also realize that it's n

CONTEST COMING UP!Hello, all. C:More Like This
First of all, thanks for all the well-wishes for those who commented on the loss of Chunk. He will be immortalized in his goofy-ass pictures. And his adorable ones.
In other news...I am hosting my first-ever stock contest! (Add as many echoes as you deem necessary.) The details are a little blurry at the moment, but for now I am getting ideas and gathering prizes. I have over 2000 points that will go to first, second, and third prizes...but I would like ti ask all of my watchers and anyone who sees this if they have anything they would very kindly donate--points.. features, subscriptions, exclusive stock, commission, llamas...anything would be awesome. Even if you donate, you can enter! (But you don't necessarily have to give your prize to yourself. XD )
Also, this contest will have something to do with CRIME...and my group...

Let's talk about - You are a PHOTOGRAPHER.Todays Let's Talk about topic is one that is less heavy than the last one but is still important I think. It's about perception, or more to the point our perception of being amateur photographers, student photographers, and the like.More Like This
It's something that I’ve recently been thinking about and I feel comfortable now in being able to say that I am a Photographer. I'm not a student photographer, not an amateur, and all the other variants. This isn't because I now have some greater understanding of photographic history, or expensive gear, or charge for shoots (I have none of these things at present).
It's because I take photos. It's what I do. I may take lots in a month, I may take a bare handful, but I capture moments in time whether they be of the surrounds, of people, whatever the subject and whatever the tools used. I do what any photographer does and takes pictures. Now just because I call myself
