Sometimes Anthony Smith felt like an absolutely horrible brother. It wasn’t that he actually was a horrible brother; in fact, he was quite a peace-maker among his siblings and highly compassionate and tuned in to the feelings and needs of his family. But when he let someone down, it hit him pretty hard, and he wasn’t one to let go of that easily. And most recently, he had let down his younger sister, Leslie.
“If you keep agonizing over it, you’re going to give yourself wrinkles, Tony.” A voice to his right spoke in a rather condescending way as he surrendered his keys to let the valet park his Hummer. He turned and glared down at his elder brother, Steven, who was busy brushing back his hair in a somewhat vain manner. It was rather rich of his brother, Tony felt, to be making casual remarks about agonizing over upsetting their sister. After all, Tony wouldn’t have
Horror Kiss drabble - Cameron It was remarkable really, how stupid and deluded these self-prolaimed "Titans" were, thinking they had some impenetrable "hideout." Because some secret base called "Mount Justice" just couldn't possibly be a dead give-away, now could it?More Like This
Outside, the rain poured relentlessly, and echoes of it upon the surface of the water could be heard within the cave. The lights would flicker on occasion, but as far as Cameron was concerned, there wasn't anything to be worried over. Unfortunately, it appeared his friend didn't share his sentiments.
"If the power goes out, we are gonna be in it, Cam, and I mean in it." He spoke in his low, accented voice, picking his strides carefully as they moved to evade the security cameras.
"Don't tell me you're scared, Paxton." He scoffed in response.
"Of course I'm not scared," the army brat snapped back, "But did you bring anything to use in case of a blackout?"
That gave Cameron some pause. Truthfully, he hadn't anticipated that
Horror Kiss drabble - Paxton A definite retreat was in order this time. It had been stupid to come here in the first place, not that Paxton would have said that to Cameron. He generally trusted his wiry friend to be the stealthy one and work out the covert stuff, and in any case, he didn’t have it in him at the moment to say that to Cameron anyway. He had only caught a glimpse of what had happened, but it was enough. He knew fully and well how his friend felt about the girl called Squall, and to see her kissing that overly-sensitive grunt with the Mohawk… Paxton had been afraid Cameron would pass out and had lunged to catch his friend.More Like This
And now they had to find a way out of the cave, without being spotted. He doubted Squall and Killowat would provide any trouble, wrapped up in one another as they were. But he had to watch his six anyhow; Cam could barely move on his own, and those two weren’t the only Titans lurking about the place that could run into them

"Are you okay?" He asked uncertainly.
"THOSE TWO." Brother Blood hissed, the ravenous tone all too obvious in his voice as he pressed his nose to the glass, looking directly at Tommy Terror and the redheaded girl he had an arm around. "THEIR SEXUAL TENSION IS UNBEARABLE. IS THERE ANOTHER BOY IN HER LIFE? I NEED TO KNOW. THERE HAS TO BE; WHY ELSE WOULD THEY HAVE SUCH NATURAL TENSION AND CHEMISTRY?"
Control Freak slowly lowered his pencil, an eye twitching nervously. "Uh, maybe you should chill, man. Not everything needs to be a love triangle."
"WE COULD MAKE IT ONE." came the hiss of unbridled wicked glee.
"Mind control doesn't count." Control Freak rem
Eberron: SongbladeLife had a funny way of throwing your lot in with that of others, whether or not you liked it. Lilenia d'Lyrandar knew that simple truth altogether too well. She'd set out from her home of Blood Crescent some time ago, hell-bent on making her way to Sharn on her own. And now here she was, half a day's walk from the town of Moonwatch and sitting at a campfire with five other people whose lives had become entwined with her own through sheer chance. She glanced around, taking them each in.More Like This
The mage, Finariel Fairchilde, was still perhaps the biggest mystery to her. She knew little of his background and less of his age, only hearing again and again that the elf had an uncanny gift for causing trouble and coming out of it far easier than a normal person. His long-time partner and self-appointed bodyguard was a bit easier to understand, even if he was more antisocial: Zeth Mordan was a quiet, fierce-eyed tiefling and a Sword o

Chapter 10: Fifteen
This existence wasn’t worth speaking of, for a miserable existence was all it could be called, as far removed as it was from living.
Specimen Number Fifteen had forgotten much in the long, empty hours of solitude. The silence had been so deafening each time that it drove Fifteen to near madness, for Fifteen could hear, could see the knowledge they had learned and treasured trickling out of their head. Food was rarely given to Fifteen, just enough to keep them alive, and a lot of their weight had vanished, devoured by a body beset with pain from constant hunger. Fifteen wasn’t even sure what their gender was any more. Sometimes, the thought occurred that Fifteen could have been female once… but girls were beautiful, soft, and rounded by curves. Fifteen was all edges and sharp, bony angles, with a ribcage showing under its skin.
That was the one constant thought on Fifteen’s mind. Someho
