Why Do You Still Believe?I used to wonder how one could believe in a God who oppresses?

Who controls you, who uses you, whose unbreakable laws can lead to serious depression.
I wondered this because I know what it's like to be failed,
to be “abandoned” by God, and to be thrown in a personal hell.
But than I grew older and learned how to cope,
I learned that believing in God was like holding a tethered rope.
So I looked to the world and was surprised by what I had seen.
Together the believers were holding onto a broken string.
On the top of the rope God holds on tightly,
and towards the bottom, the believers cling to the Almighty.
Through oppression, through injustice bestowed upon them by God,
they refuse to release their grip, as their faith is stronger than their distrust of God.
Because God does not oppress, nor does He use or impose ridiculous laws,
it is humans who do this, never has it been God.
So they still believe in Him when they're murdered for their faith,
when they're bombed beca

please do not take this suggestion as an ugly snide.
I am Christian, but I am sure you know that,
because throughout my poetry, I make this a fact.
And looking back, I've realized a mistake,
as a one sided position I have seemed to take.
I preach tolerance on my side, from a Christian stance,
and remain unaware that you too maliciously advance.
Like some Christians, you hate, you're ugly and cruel,
you judge without knowing, and are quick to assume,
that we want you all dead, and wish you to hell,
you jump to conclusions at the ring of a bell.
To you we're just zealots, we're all just the same,
and you make it a point to insult our holy name.
I think it funny how you want our respect,
yet some of you proclaim our religion to be a simple jest.
And yes we have radicals, just like you,
but I think it's time we discern the difference, don't you?
To not like does not mean to hate, nor does it mean to despise,
to put it in words, we simply just don't
The Road to FaithIt is amazing, to think that God can reveal Himself and His messages to us in every aspect of life, no matter how miniscule or insignificant we may consider these instances to be.

In our walks of life, it is easy to ignore what He tries to tell us, or what He tries to show us, because we are often too caught up in our own ambitions to pay any attention.
We live in a get there fast, me first society. We speed on the roads when were late, not caring who we endanger in our paths. We ignore people trying to merge into our lane, even if their blinkers are on. We speed up to close gaps, even if we know someone else is trying to merge over. We get angry, and curse at people on the road for driving slowly, even if theyre elderly people or people who are simply not used to the area.
But more often than not, we dont see what we are doing. We promulgate wrath and pride so much, these two destructive traits have b
