My first Griever Test Design I did for the MAZE RUNNER film. (All painted)

At the very beginning it was planned to make the Grievers as big robotic machines. However I had already created this Test Design before I got the job, which showed the hybrid creature idea from the book. I presented the design to Wes and he loved it. We worked together on a few changes and attachments afterwards in order to enhance the final Griever design.

Slugs and coconut crabs were a huge influence for me in finding the overall body shape. The head was a bit tricky, since in the book they have no face, only a big ugly mouth. It's basically a mixture of caterpillars, bulldogs and even piranhas.

A new mech. Mech 21 in my hometown. Took the background photo in my hometown in a morning when i was traveling with my bike to work. And in the evening i sculpted this mech in Zbrush. And put together. There are a few thing i would correct a bit, but want to jump in my next model.

This chap is Dandelion (named after the weed that can't be rid of) and he doesn't take guff from anyone. He's a random concept from a very rough sketch and was good fun to paint.

Fun fact: All three heads lead to different stomachs

This piece is inspired by "man" and our interaction with the technology we create. The wheel form represents technology while the figure within the wheel represents human kind. Together they symbolize the product of this relationship. The man is armored in and propelling himself by means of technology, however, how we use or "Wield" this power, is a treacherous balancing act. Together man and technology can be an advantageous relationship in pursuit of our future, yet failure to control our means of growth responsibly can lead to an accident of our own demise.

This work explores my personal interest in the merging of cultures, in particular, those of the east and the west. Though I was born in Taiwan, I was raised in the United States, and thus have experienced a very dichotomous upbringing. Originally from Australia, Sayuki is the first foreign geisha in Japanese history. I find her efforts to secure the continuance of a tradition in danger of dying out in the twenty-first century admirable and inspirational to the highest degree.

Custom precision repaint of the Jakks Pacific Maleficent doll. This show of the doll is inspired by a poster from the film.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person's likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes

(Note: I am not in any way affiliated with Jakks Pacific or any other doll or toy company.)

Garrett (Thief)

Here's my costume that's currently doing the rounds at the local conventions.
I bought the costume online which was was nothing more than a plain template, and built all of the detail onto it. The bow is completely hand-built and painted from MDF and Pine.

I thoroughly enjoyed the recent installment, but the original two still remain the best games of the series.

Hey guys! been meaning to do these for a while, so here they are! Have a lot more ideas and concepts that didnt take off [like Toph for instance, and wouldnt have even put Aang up there but I had to!] so thats why the selection is quite weird, but I mainly stuck with things that I thought would look cool and somewhat practical.

Please note that these are just concepts and no real product exists :]

[my personal favorite is P'li.. didn't imagine that when I first thought about doing a hoodie for her!]

PS: Sorry about the font.. but I really really liked the sunset overdrive and wanted to use it, I know its not easy to read... but I had to!

PPS: For some of you guys asking permission to use my designs, I unfortunately have to say no. I'm working with a company to get them made :)

Banzaaaai!! Another little crazy stuff! I finally finished this dragon sculpture. It took me forever:phew: I used pop tabs all the way from the tip of nose to the tip of tail except for whisker. I wanted to count it but again it'll take me forever to count lol. Also, I'd like to give many thanks to *WhittyKitty for great support. And thanks to all my friends who collected the all tabs for me. I glued them together with ordinary epoxy or cold-weld compound type of epoxy. this guy's about 14 inches long and 8 inches tall. By the way i want this to be called 神魂龍 (shinkonryuu) which inhabits the spirit of a person, where they obtain the necessary energy to live. When a person dies they move to a new spirit.

This is the second pop tab creation. If you are interested to see the first one--->:sprint:[link]

Yatta!!
It's kinda late to say this now but I'd like to thank *iProxy for featuring this earlier. And now I have a DD. sooooo many people came here and see this. I'd also like to say thank you verrrrrry much to ~Ahawii and =ExiledChaos for suggesting it:bow: And thank you very much to ^Thebuild for featuring it! Thank you all for who came to see it. I hope I can show you more work very soon!!
