Deep roads: legendary tunnels connecting ancient Dwarven Thaigs, once vital and critical paths for a mighty empire but now just a home to numerous darkspawn and even more foul creatures that lurked beneath the bones of the earth.
The dim, ghost-like lights of lyrium and some small phosphorescent plants peeking up from the rock crevasses left and right was depressing, and stagnant air that had not been moved for centuries by a wisp of wind prickled both throat and lungs with a harsh, cloying pressure that made every breath torture.
Valena Hawke took out her water bag and took one faint sip, it was the last pure water she had, any liquids here could be corrupted with the darkspawn taint it was too dangerous to drink
As the thin stream made its way down her throat Valena felt great relief. Even her magic could not help her here, so she went forward. Pace by pace to the surface, to her home, to mother
"Mother " she whispered and closed her eyes hoping o
Pain in My SoulI remember reading once:More Like This
"Tears is the body's way of showing that your soul is in pain."
Right now, I foresee a flood coming my way.
My soul is tired and I'm only so young.
Heart is heavy and I don't where to turn.
Source of my pain feels like a burning hot poker.
My support system is the ones that is making me suffer.
Life was a hell of a lot simpler through the eyes of a child.
Pain was different then, all it meant was scabbed knees
or getting grounded with no tv.
The way you see life changes and escalates.
When you get older, the monsters weren't the ones on the page;
it was ones you would see everyday, smiling in your face.
My soul feels crippled; buckling and I don't know how much to take.
Voice is stripped, as I get lulled into complacences.
Body lies as I feign that everything is alright, but the soul knows.
Eyes lead to it and tells those what I'm really feeling.
I'm broken inside.
The eyes never lie.
Because on the inside,
my soul is pain and the flood

Title: Lyrium Outlaws -- War Affairs
Game: Dragon Age Inquisition
Characters: Nyia-Rae Trevelyan; Cullen
Disclaimer: I am making no money off this fan fiction. It is only for enjoyment. I don’t own any of these wonderful characters. All are the property of BioWare. I just have fun playing around in their universe.
I’ll kiss a Deepstalker on the lips before I allow her to accompany me on another mission.
Nyia-Rae Trevelyan charged back into her private chamber just off her war room fuming. She wanted to rip apart everything in her sight after her verbal sparring match with Vivienne. The Inquisitor refused be belittled by an Orlesian spellbind who believed looking pretty was more important than protection on the battlefield. She could use her poison words on another Orlesian the next time Empress Celene sent some low errand runner to discuss the nature of things and that was all. She was tired of all t

The fans seem to either love him or hate him. There seems to be no middle ground for Cullen who has been a minor character through out all three installments of Dragon Age. I've read a lot of comments calling him whiny. A few want a option to kill him. He is a Templar so many hate him for that fact alone. Others think he didn't do enough to stop Meredith's craziness until it was too late to act. Then there is the group of us who have been waiting for his character to be a romantic interest since the mage origin story because his character development has been
