Harmony In MayThe hallway was a whirlwind of chaos as students chatted with friends, lockers banged loudly, and books were pulled out, shoved to the bottom of bags. I tried to block out the noise as I twisted and turned the knob on my own locker, referring to a piece of paper once and a while to get the combination correct. It was dirty and as banged up as any of the others yet it seemed to be different, more isolated. I was stuck in my own corner of the harshly lit hallway, away from all the clusters of friends. Bubble Guppies: Nonny Month1. What was your first impression of Nonny?More Like This
I found him rather odd, just frowning throughout the duration of the opening theme and through most of the average episode. Really, what main character does that?
2. Now that you know Nonny better, what do you like about him?
He's easily the smartest and most relatable character on the show (even though they expect us to know that just because he wears eyeglasses). I'm also more accepting of his constant frowning, as if he doesn't know why he's on the show in the first place, like he knows something is off about the fake interactivity, constant redundancy, etc. Also, his tendency to define words and phrases further reminds me of myself as a kid.
3. What place does Nonny rank in your list of favorite Bubble Guppies characters?
He's my favorite hands-down, opposite Molly.
4. What's your favorite Nonny moment, quote, or episode?
I like it in the song Smile when he shakes his head the moment Molly asks him to, well, smile.
