Gerard had long since left the bedroom, and Frank had finally freed himself of his prison of sheets, standing bare chested in front of the window that had so recently let demons in. His hand played around the scar on his chest, marveling at the imperfection. He wondered if it would disappear in his angel form- something told him it wouldn't. His attention was turned from the window when a loud voice echoed through the church. He couldn't quite make out what it said, but he could hear enough to discern that it was pretty angry. There was a loud clattering sound and he winced from the noise.
Gerard walked out into the kitchen once he had left Frank alone. He poured a cup of coffee for himself and one for his brother, who had just awoken judging by the running shower just down the hall. Gerard was nervous and felt anxious; how was he going to tell Mikey that Frank wasn't leaving afterall? Mikey was going to ask a thousand questions, and all of Gerard's excuses would be pure shit.

The night seemed relatively clear, and free of qualms from the naked eye. But anyone looking up would never know the trouble brewing high up past even the thickest of clouds. The sky rumbled lowly, like a bull getting ready to charge, but instead it released a massive, powerful bolt of lightning. It struck the ground and made the brush ignite in a small suburban area, and then there lay a man in the ring of fire.
Though, on closer observation, there was something...something different about him. Maybe it was the almost opalescent quality of his pale skin, or the startling darkness of the dark locks of hair that fell gracefully across his forehead. Maybe it was the venomously green shade of his irises when he dared to crack his eyelids open. And maybe, just maybe, it was the pair of dusty, singed, silvery wings that unfolded uncertainly from his bare back as he stood unsteadily.
