ART HEALSIt's hard for me to believe that 8 days have passed and I'm getting back to normal. Because my husband is an EMT and works in the field, he was fast in getting me help. This is the key, strokes can be stopped, decreased or faster in healing if treated quickly. Aphasia can be long or short term. I still need therapy, talk funny and get some anxiety attacks. I swear like a sailor. I'm writing this because ART played a huge part in getting me back to normal. Browsing the pgs. of DA, messages from from friends and the caring made a huge difference.More Like This
My husband helped me make a deviation which helped both of us cope.
I have low blood pressure and am active, so don't point a finger. This can happen to anyone and with the new technology, we can all get better.
Strokes happen in the brain, not the heart.
ALL STROKES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL,

Maybe I just imagined it?
Maybe I am only lying to myself?
Maybe I'm just pretending to be in love?
Maybe it was never real...?
But then you smile,
then you laugh.
But then you show me,
that you truly try in your own ways.
Maybe one day,
you will feel the same
Maybe one day,
I can tell you to your face those three words...
But until then...
I'll fake a smile.
I'll try to laugh without any worries.
I'll pretend as if what I'm feeling isn't true...
So that maybe one day,
I can hold your hand...
So that I can smile,
be angry over stupid things,
and overall be happy.
