Do you remember this little cutie? I visited the persian leopard and his siblings a few month after this shot was taken and they grew so much. They look almost like their mother, but are still playful and curios. Although mummy is not allowing them to play with her tail anymore ^.-

Here's how much an amateur I am: this shot took me all night to get with my camera and tripod. BUT! I am thrilled with the outcome!

If you'd like to use my photograph for anything, please just ask! :-)

Collection: Let's Spice It Up A Bit

Thu Feb 26, 2015, 3:57 PM
Img-og by techgnotic

There is something in our human nature that always keeps us looking for that enigmatic “something more.”

No matter how much we enjoy something, we just know it could be a little bit better with the perfect small addition. Hence, our obsession with finding the perfect complementary spices to our favorite foods.

Spices have been a treasure for humanity since at least 2000 BCE. Spices were essential for magic, medicine, religious rites and the preservation of food and Egyptian mummies. Spices were used as a form of currency between cultures. Today, spices are mainly relegated to our dinner tables — those special touches to make one’s favorite dish absolutely perfect. And when that one special taste becomes too familiar, there’s never a lack of new, exotic spices from around the world to experiment with — as the following gallery of enticing spices makes abundantly clear. We fear growing bored of even the things we love most in life, from coffee–flavored ice cream to our beloved spouses. Sometimes it’s that teaspoon of sprinkles or blonde wig that is all that’s needed to keep the magic alive. The same, but different, is what we endlessly seek in life. Always that little something more.

Once you get a spice in your home, you have it forever. Women never throw out spices. The Egyptians were buried with their spices. I know which one I’m taking with me when I go.”

— Erma Bombeck

Is not birth, beauty, good shape, discourse, Manhood, learning, gentleness, virtue, youth, liberality, and such like, the spice and salt that season a man.”

— William Shakespeare

Variety’s the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor.”

— William Cowper

Always remember: If you’re alone in the kitchen and you drop the lamb, you can always just pick it up. Who’s going to know?”

— Julia Child

I have a great love for cuisine, so I’m always interested in local food, and there are so many interesting dishes, spices and ingredients in India.”

— Romain Grosjean

There is something in our human nature that always keeps us looking for that enigmatic “something more.” No matter how much we enjoy something, we just know it could be a little bit better with the perfect small addition. Hence, our obsession with finding the perfect complementary spices to our favorite foods.

Looks like an "apocalypse today"  photo   =D

It's the first solar eclypse I've ever seen.  I took this shot from my phone, using a smoked glass (I have no dark filtres or something like that, so I made it myself, using a fragment of glass and a candle).   Cloudy weather and this glass gave a pretty unusual effect to a photo  (:
Photo taken at  Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
