sometimes when i wake up
before the sun rises, when i’m all alone
and it feels like i might be the only person in the world
i notice that my face is wet
and i wonder if it’s because
i’ve been swimming with you in my dreams
i remember you
in the summer nights under the corsican stars
and the warmth of your skin in the cold seawater
how the phosphorescence coated our bodies
as we swam together,
the salty tang of the ocean and your fingers up my spine
and us glowing like soft stars in the night
i remember how i wished it could last forever
now i wonder if the tides and my tears
were so different after all

says she can hear the ocean.
but if you listen close to these shells
you can hear ghosts.
something borrowed, something blue,
something broken, something bruised.
she traces her fingers across the autopsy scars
while she counts her bones like currency.
she'll leave your skin screaming,
and sink into the whites of your eyes like a shipwreck.
can you hear the ocean?
A 'Fare Thee Well' and other ThanksgivingsAs many of our long standing members already know, one of the brightest spots of tWR, and longtime admin, Solarune after years of dedication has moved on to pursue her dreams of eating a whole pancake, taming the planet Mercury, growing gills... I actually have no idea what she does in her spare time when she isn't making everyone around her have better lives. Actually, I think that's what she does all the time...More Like This
Regardless, we here whose lives she touched (no, not in that way, The Internet) felt the need to express our gratitude for the distinct pleasure of having her in our lives through the only way we knew how.

That actually didn't work out, though, because I fainted on my run up the stairs. And then Russia won. So we did the next best thing!
All the admins here at tWR who worked with Sol collaborated on a poem - since I guess the written word is something that we all appreciate here, who knew - in order to give our most heartfelt of thanks and
Lib. Ar.She was a revolutionary in her head, the way she wrapped herself in the flag and sang herself to sleep with freedom songs and chain gang chants. The way she wore her hair, unkept and messy and slanted slightly to the right due to the many times she fell asleep on her arm after reading Das Kommunistische Manifest until the early hours of the morning. I never questioned why she always ended on the same page, or why we had to search through dozens of used book stores in order to find an old hardcover copy of the book that was peeling with dry-rot and plagued with dog-eared corners.More Like This

Their scent plays a sweet melody
Let their voices be heard!
Their colors taste of spring
flavors exploding like fireworks
Petals like musical notes,
waltz with the wind
Leaves swing to the rhythm,
of rain drops singing
Lively greens mingle with pale yellows
The flowers are nature’s orchestra
Their tune can be tasted,
by those who hear the flowers hum

Find Your GuardianIntro to this 'game'.More Like This
I sometimes find it hard to just to create a creature, not making it all wolves, tigers, lions and dragons... xD So I came up with this "Find Your Guardian", which will depend on the roll of the dice. I have re-done this three times, this being the third. For this I have 30 extra creatures/humanoid lists, but that will be in the comment below with my other thoughts of this...
You'll need 1-2 dice, or just one if you choose. When you see +2, you may roll two dice if you wish.
Roll one die and roll once more to find what kind of that creature. Like if you rolled 1, then you have Canine and roll again and get 5, your guardian's base is a fox. Then move to the second part.
3. House cat
1-2. Feathered Dragon
3. Reptile Dragon with wings
4-5. Fire Breathing Dragon
6. Eastern Dragon
