Some guy was storytiming his own admittedly terrible comic. The main character was a guy who wore mascara and fought bad guys. I was pretty drunk when I read it and I thought the main character would make a great girl.
I was at a store in my small, tropical town last December, shopping for Christmas ornaments. When I walked by the toy aisle and saw a doll I'd never seen before. It was a Skultimate Roller Maze Operetta and I was mesmerized, I thought she was gorgeous. I'd heard of Monster High, but I didn't know anything about it, and I had never seen any of the dolls.
I went home and googled 'Monster High' and saw screencaps from the web series. It looked cute, so I decided to check it out. I ended up watching every single webisode in one sitting.
I was so eager to draw Ghoulia, but after watching "Fright On!" and "Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love", I just HAD to draw Abbey. That scene in WDGFIL where she answers the phone had me DYING!
Anyway, here's some quick fanart of my favorite ice princess.
For Kristel, a dear friend of mine who has birthday today.
And I want to say some special thanks to *l6visyda, my lovely sister, for those gorgeous water shots and that frog..
It's not easy to say what I think about this piece as it is such a special piece for me. I just adore that fairy and magic and dreams...
I am a dreamer. So, I could say this piece is about me. About the dreams I hold dear, about the dreams I surrender my life with and which I do not let go. All that childhood's magic, those told stories filled with heroes and dangerous situations, hopes and broken dreams and desperate fight for a cause.
I am a dreamer. I dream of a better world, I dream that oneday there won't be places like Darfur.. there won't be anger and so much hate and violence. I dream that oneday we all understand that any kind of life is sacred and we have no right to take our hand against it. We all are the same.
I am a dreamer who lives in my own world. Some call me naive by that as things that are world to them does not matter me. You cannot buy my soul as it has no price. You cannot tempted me with false promises and try to turn me into something I am not. I have my own truth, my own faith and my own way of seeing world. I am not saying that my way is right but can anyone say it? Does anyone even have the right to say that?
I am a dreamer. I live for my dreams. My art is part of my dream. My way to show others of what I hold inside, what matters for me and what I treasure. I live for the sun behind the trees to guide my light and for the star high over the northern sky to light my way in dark nights. I live for hopes...and I am never afraid of dreaming even if at the first moment it may seem like unachievable. I would say there have been so many things in my life what first could have bee impossible what I have still done them. I am here.. I do my art.. and many like it. It sounds impossible year and half ago. But now it is reality.
I am a dreamer. This is not easy but who has said it has to be like that. But you cannot take my dreams away from me. You cannot hurt someone who has dreamed a dream like mine...
Oh.. again.. many hours.. many frustration, many times I felt I will give up. I wanted something purely magical, something enchanting as I know how many times Kristel has said she loves my works and I thought so it is just right thing to make something amazing for her. And I hate working under pressure. Noone else than I put it to me.. but I just cannot work knowing I have to make it amazing. I really hope she will like it.
I really wanted something golden and soft, warm after my last piece. Maybe something more than my usual style but still, it was such a challenge. The forest was like nightmare.I was already happy with girl and finally managed to complete water and the first just hunt me.. it looked so much different at the beginning.
I wanted to end 2012 with a Supergirl picture like I did at the end of 2011 but it took me two tries to get a picture going and I ran out of time lol. So I guess I'll make it a thing where I draw Supergirl at the beginning of every year instead of at the end? Anyway enjoy the pic! It was fun for me to draw and its a good start to the year.
Also, I'll have prints availble on Society6 by my next submission. Please look forward to my next journal for more info!

Just ready with reading some amazing Dune Books. Its a realy great universe. Too bad there are not much of the TV Adaptions. So i make my own Guild Heighliner based on the design from the TV Version.
A heighliner is a typical, more than 20 km long starship for interstellar travel of the Spacing Guild's transportation system. Heighliner operation requires a Guild Navigator, who uses a limited form of prescience, made possible by their use of the spice melange, to safely guide the ship across space at "translight" speeds. Unable to land, heighliners jump from point to point, parking in planetary orbits, though the ship itself does not technically move.

This is a trading card I did for Topps' STAR WARS Galaxies 5 card set, released today.
Before anyone gets confused, this is from the very first Star Wars novel, SPLINTER OF THE MIND'S EYE (1978), by Alan Dean Foster. It starts off with Luke and Leia flying to a diplomatic mission on one planet only to be forced into a crash-landing on another. Luke was in his X-Wing, and Leia was piloting a 2-seater Y-Wing with Threepio. I'm assuming Leia wasn't doing this in her white robes....
I guess I always liked the idea of Leia in the rebel pilot flight gear.
10" X 14", pencil & ink on 3-ply Strathmore Series 500 illustration board, then colored in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
Seeing as how scientists are finally on their way to making lightsabers, I thought today would be a good day to post another one of the cards previewed from Fantasy Flight's "Balance of the Force" expansion.
This is a preview of the limited edition print, titled "Sparring Practice," I will have for sale at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim this April! I've had this scene in my head ever since I was in the fifth grade when Episode I came out and am just thrilled to have the opportunity to bring it to life in this way. Tusken Raiders just never seem to know when they've bitten off more than they can chew. If you're going to be at the show, come by my table in the ACME Archives Art Show area and say hi!
Here is an illustration I did last summer for The Lords of Nal Hutta Star Wars rpg book for Fantasy Flight Games that I can finally show you guys. I was pretty pleased with the turn out on this one. I also snuck an easter egg in, the dude’s hair and beard is supposed to look like a clone trooper.
