CologneWhen you leave me you leave your scent,More Like This
So close that I can't forget.
With every breath it fills my lungs,
Onto every little piece I became hung.
You were so close I could almost grasp,
But everything felt like shattered glass.
Now every time I breathe I feel tears rise,
Searing through my chest like a sharp knife.
While I sit here and let your scent sink in,
Its almost like you're there underneath my skin.
Floating around and inescapable,
Wrapped around every last one of my bones.
So many nights spent alone,
Wearing your jumper and smelling your cologne.
Inhaling happy memories,
Exhaling them out again.
Just hoping and praying this cycle will end.
