In the world of Japanese animation production, there's a term that is often used, and that term is "Sakuga" (作画) (lit., "drawing pictures") It is a term used to describe moments in a show or movie when the quality of the animation improves drastically, typically for the sake of making a dramatic point or enlivening the action. As most people might know, animation in Japan is often produced on a very tight budget, and limited animation it's what is often used, using as few drawings to create frames as possible so save time and money. However often times there are moments on a show or movie where certain scenes are given a big animation quality boost, where everything moves and it's extremely fluid. Openings and Endings are usually the places where the grand majority have this; however there are many shows, especially the action-y ones, that also have a lot of great animation. This is now my absolute favorite animated short of this year so far. It's very reminiscing of something out of a Ghibli film, or something similar the Girl who leapt through time.
