Junior High Stucky - ScrapIt had not been a very good weekend for little Steve Rogers, aged thirteen. He'd gotten sick on a Sunday and his poor mother had taken time off to take care of him during the Monday that he was off from school. Steve was lying under three layers of blankets in early autumn and though he was sweating, he knew he needed to stay there, so his body could kill off whatever it was that was bothering him.More Like This
Steve sighed dramatically as his mother brought him another glass of water. She simply gave him a look, arching one eyebrow.
"Can I get you anything else?" She asked, fighting a smile at her son's impatience.
"No, ma." Steve finally said with another dramatic sigh as he rolled over onto his side and tried to go back to sleep. He looked at the clock on his bedside table before he closed his eyes, and saw that it was one in the afternoon. Oh good, Bucky would be here with his school work in just over two hours. Steve would content himself to nap until that time.
When Steve awoke, it was from h
Human Thorki - Groceries"No, Thor." I say for what feels like the thousandth time as I take the box of Pop Tarts out of the cart and put it back on the shelf.More Like This
He gives me the eyes, but I'm not wavering. There is already a box of Pop Tarts in the cart, and as Thor is the only one of us working, we can't exactly afford to waste money on sweets. "But Loki," He begins. I cut him off.
"We already have a box of Pop Tarts." I point to the box in the cart. "We cannot afford to buy things we do not need." I know exactly what he's going to say in response and am tempted to mouth the words as he says them.
"Our father will give us money is the need arises." How predictable. This is not the first time this has happened.
"Asking him for money when you keep spending your earnings on things we don't need is just another way to prove to him that you are not ready to be living on your own." My words may be a little harsh, but it's true. Thor and I were raised in a wealthy family but I, personally, have no intention of exploit
Modern Pre-Serum Stucky - Girl TroublesBucky's texting me, and if I were to assign a tone to these texts, it would be urgent, because each sentence is a separate message. If I had to guess, I'd say he's probably panicking. I send him a message telling him to come over, because I can hardly keep up with the text messages that keep flying at me. He consents, and I breathe a sigh and set my phone down. I've never known Bucky to be so anxious, so this is kind of starting to freak me out too. This must be something pretty serious.More Like This
He's over in record time, and I can see the worry on his face as he steps in and toes off his shoes at the door. He smiles as I walk over to greet him at the door, and it's almost like there never was any worry on his face at all. And just like that, it's back. I can't help but frown as well.
"Why don't we sit down?" I say, leading him to the living room.
He sits beside me on the couch and starts twiddling his thumbs. This is something I've only seen Bucky do once or twice before and now I'm really wor
Human Thorki - Self-LoathingI blink and everywhere I look, there is destruction. Buildings are toppling and things are exploding all around me. I feel a sense of satisfaction, like I have fulfilled my destiny. To my left lies an enormous snake, clearly dead, and about nine paces away from it lies my brother. I breathe a sigh and awaken with a start.More Like This
I can feel the tears streaming down my face and my whole body is shaking as I numbly climb out of my bed and shuffle across the hallway to Thor's room. I open the door and don't even bother to wake him before climbing into his bed and clinging onto him desperately.
"Loki?" His voice is groggy until he feels how I'm shaking. "Loki, what's wrong?" He tries to pull me away to look at my face, but I hold tight, trying to hold back the sobs that are threatening to wrack my body. "Another terror?" He tried again to pull away again before giving up and holding me tightly.
I shake my head. I never remember those. I remember every detail of this one. This was a straight-up nig
Human Thorki - DishesI love my brother, I really do. And I know he means well, but I wish he would stop doing the dishes. You see, my brother is a muscle-bound oaf, clumsy and bumbling about eighty percent of the time. Finesse is very much not his thing and pride very much is. So every time he does dishes, he attempts to show off by juggling them or throwing them in the air with the intention of doing some impressive trick. We have gone through almost four full sets of dishes since we moved out together a year ago.More Like This
I walk into the room just in time to see him toss a coffee mug in the air. He misses the catch and I dive for it. This particular mug is one I bought with my own money and am rather attached. I catch it, and breathe a deep sigh as I stand up, my hands shaking.
"I am sorry, Loki." He says, looking only slightly sorry.
"Your apologies would mean more if you'd stop throwing our dishes around." I grumble, setting the mug on the countertop. My whole body is shaking from the adrenaline rush. "Please d
