From the heart...?More Like This
Ok, here's a rather old picture I coloured of Silvestri's Innocent. But that's not what I want you to look at, instead look at the sticker I added to the skateboard.
Do you read it as "I heart Topcow" or as "I love Topcow"?
In Australia we'd say "I love Topcow" but for some reason in the US it's "I heart..." I simply can not see why this is so. It's just weird.
Ok, it's a symbol of a heart, but symbols can represent concepts as well as being literal, so using a heart to say 'love' is a perfectly understandable and acceptable vernacular.
I just don't get it.
