The dream I had was probably the weirdest dream of my entire life. It started out with me running and surrounded by darkness, I was chasing this light in front of me. I couldn't make out what it was, but for some reason I felt the need to just chase it. Soon I suddenly came into this open field and suddenly Cake was at my side too. The light was gone and it was night time.
"I think we lost him." Cake said.
Him? I thought in my head. Him who?
Suddenly, a small line of fire circled us and made sort of heart-like shape and it formed into the Flame Prince!
"I am ambushing you." he said as he threw two small fireballs in our direction. We dodged them but were careful not to hit the wall of fire behind us.
He was about to throw another one but I spoke up. "Um, hey, I like your fireballs." I said, not really sure what I was saying.
"Huh? Why do you torment me?" the Flame Prince asked with a sad expression.
"I-I'm not trying to! I just. I like you. I-I think I like-like you." I s

The prince left before Cake came home, and I had stopped crying. She hurried up to our room and seemed very excited.
"Fionna! Prince Gumball and Marshall Lee are here to see you!" she exclaimed.
"What!" I said. "Tell them I don't want to see them!"
"But they're coming up right now!" Cake said and as if on cue, Gumball's head popped up from the stair-like tree trunk and he climbed up into the room. Marshall followed behind him.
"Hello Fionna." the candy prince said. Marshall gave a small wave.
"I'll just leave you three alone." Cake said as she backed out of the room.
It was silent before I spoke up. "What do you want?" I demanded.
"We, we wanted to apologize about what happened." Gumball said. "We both feel terrible about it. It should've never happened."
"Yeah. We're sorry." Marshall grumbled.
I stared at them for awhile. "You promise you're sorry?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
They both nodded. "We're really, really sorry. We were only doing it for your safety. I swear to you."

Right when we had gotten back to the tree house I collapsed on my bed and started sobbing. Cake came up from the commotion and started to comfort me. She asked what happened and I told her everything.
"Glob, this is just like something Marshall would do, but I can't believe Gumball would let that vampire talk him into that." Cake said, frowning. I looked at the Flame Prince, who was leaning against the wall next to my bed, looking down. He seemed to be deep in thought, because when I touched his hand with mine he seemed a bit startled.
"What am I gonna do Cake?" I asked her, still sobbing but not as much anymore.
Cake shook her head. "I'm gonna talk to them. I'll knock some sense into those boys." The cat jumped off my bed and walked towards the door. She looked at Flame Prince and said "Keep an eye on her will ya?" The prince nodded and Cake left, once we both heard the door close, FP knelt next to my bed and looked at me.
"Fionna," he said, "I think I have a solution to this problem.

I hadn't gone and run away with the Prince if that's what you're thinking. No, we just hung out on the roof of the tree house. He couldn't go home not even ten minutes into the night. So we planned on staying out until we felt that it would be safe enough for him to go home. He wanted to hide the truth of the story from his mother, otherwise she would never let us hang out again. And I didn't want that to happen either, so we made popcorn and played games on Beemi.
By the time Cake came home it was past midnight and we had fallen asleep on the floor. I didn't know this until the morning, but she poked the Prince with a stick from the wood pile and told him he should head home. So he did. And do you know what Cake told me he did before he left?
"A kiss?!" I exclaimed, immediately sitting upright in my bed.
Cake nodded, grinning. "Yup baby cakes. A kiss. On the cheek."
"And you witnessed this? Personally?" I asked. No wonder my cheek hurt a little bit when I woke up.
"Yup. You wanna know

The next day the Flame Prince called me and told me he could come. If fact, he said his mother was "delighted" or something, which I never thought could happen from my first perception of the Fire Queen. He said that she loved how he was socializing now and predicted that people didn't remember anymore the thing he had done(of course he probably left out the little incident with Marshall Lee).
So, after Cake helped me get ready and pick out a dress, since I'm usually horrible at picking out dresses and stuff like that, we waited for him outside the fort. We waited for awhile before we finally saw him in the distance. As he got closer and we could make out his face, he didn't seem too happy. He didn't seem upset though, just nervous. But he did look very handsome.. oh glob, did I really just say that?
"Hello Fionna. Hello Cake." the prince nodded a greeting at the two of us. We nodded back.
"Hi FP. You, um, you look good." I said, blushing a bit.
"Thank you Fionna. You look pretty as we
