Had this drawing sitting for a few months but I never put it up. I was originally intending on making different head and arm units with radomes, hands, missiles, etc. Sections of the frame and each module are made up of 2-3 layers each so I can slide pieces in and out at will.

I haven't updated in awhile but I've been working on a new project that should kick more ass than anything else I've done in the past.

This is a small scale (6 to 10 feet tall) semi-autonomous unit designed with heavy customization and personalization in mind. It is both a combat-ready bodyguard and an art product ideal for the most conspicuous consumer.

This illustration features the "Redstart" armor set. This is a light-armor unit that focuses on unencumbered mobility.

(Artistically speaking, it's a kind of "mecha lingerie" that I'm using to complement the base frame and show off a more humanoid look.)

Well, i remade my original Grappler model (hence mk3 .p)..

What you ask, why did the dude just remake an old model intead of doing something new? ;P

Obviously because this was my learning object for texturing, i followed some pretty nice tutorial (atleast some elements of it) And tested out my current problem zones with these techniques (Kinda sucks you can't edit mesh after uvw mapping it.. without messing it up)

While doing so, i improved/messed with the model a bit, gave it a nicer weapon and added some missiles in an totally random and nonsensical position ;)

Here's the development of the chosen thumb from my Alchemy explorations [link]

So this is the piece i did the walkthrough/tutorial with. The walkthrough will come later after i put em together and stuff. In this final image i changed his color to orange just so that he's not so similar to Bumble bee..lol!! ( Sory that the final design might not look as good as the thumb coz i got sidetracked doing the walktrough and stuff..urgh)

Concept for an original VT. Vertical Tanks are from steel battalion of course. I've had the sketch of this sitting around since my last steel battalion piece, finally mustered up the strength to paint it up. This was a rather fast one too, probably only took 2 hours or so. Another design in my "flying vehicles" series.

This one was a bit different in that it is a "plane" instead of some kind of star fighter. I pretty much went to town on this thing.

A few notes:

Overview of Process: 3D rough Sketch>PS Line Drawing> PS Lighting Pass> PS texture and painting> PS post levels and other adjustments/tweaks.

I didn't render out the gun that much because i felt it wasn't that important to the overall design. Its there so you know its there.

I put "stealth" serration edged exhaust ports... because the just look really cool. This is not really a stealth fighter.

The decals were grabbed from an old model kit sheet, they don't have meaning other then what fits in context.

More agile tank for scouting. Also it has ridiculously exposed machinery so it should focus on moving in and then moving out so to not get totaled.

Semaphore Gundam aka "Signal Bearer."

I'm currently watching Zeta Gundam and wanted to try something a little more "traditional" with (what I feel are) retro stylings. The initial concept was a black Gundam wearing a spaceship.

It has lots of little sensors and thrusters, and a very traditional looking laser rifle. Definitely a fun change of pace.

Inspired by Super Mario RPG, Star Ocean: The Second Story, and many more of my fondest memories playing role-playing games as a kid. These are the kinds of characters I would design if I was making a mecha-themed fantasy RPG. My goals were to be funny, draw inventive designs with a lot of personality, and be a bit bolder and more unusual with color usage. Thanks goes to Paul Segal for suggesting the "Gems of Castelaria" name.

This new series of submissions has a few new characters added to the roster, as well as reworkings of previous designs. (Yes, I know there wouldn't be staples visible in ALL of these spreads, but I like the staples.)

A new mech design commissioned by :icongod-and-davion: ~God-and-Davion for a fan TRO project (though not TRO 3063). While not a standard lineart TRO illustration, I did leave specific unit markings and battle damage off per the style.

The Superheavy "SuperLongbow" is a 160ton fire support mech. It carries plentiful armor and ammunition to stay in the battle, though it carries no defensive weaponry so it must operate with escorts. A Fa Shih battle armor is shown for scale.

This wraps up the first week! Thunderbird 2 was always my favorite vehicle from the TV show. It probably helps that my fave color is green just like tb2.
