You somewhat hesitantly placed your hand in the purse, grabbing an item as fast as you could and pulling your hand out. The object was a very small piece of blue cloth. “I'm, not even sure what this would be used for.” You looked at the object closer, looking for some way to identify who it might belong to.
“Oh, that's mine yes it is.” Mey-Rin stumbled up to where you were standing, she was already blushing terribly. “I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner, I made you wait.” She pressed her hands on her cheeks and shook her head, upset with herself.

It was strange to think back to that day-- that day when you first met him.
The little blonde boy was sad-looking, though no one would ever guess that by watching him. Other than you, that is. While you were only a child, you knew there was something off about the cheerful boy dressed in pink.
While he stood with the other children, he was always grinning and laughing, suggesting new games and helping everyone to feel included. You’d always sit off to the side, however, coloring in the little notebook your mother had bought you. It was because of this that you were able to see what happened every time the rest of the children ran off to do something new.
It was sad. His smile would falter just a small bit, but his wide brown eyes would soften considerably. Watching him, he seemed extremely lonely, and while the other boys and girls would crash into each other as they played tag, he was always careful not to be
