It didn't matter what, really:
Just the thought
of suffering day-to-day,
of being whisked through a hopsital,
of dying at any point,

There was something romantic about it.
Because suicide would be
affect those around you,
would mean going to hell.
But when you're ill, you're treated
and they keep a seat
warm for you in heaven.
Why do some people get a cop-out?
It would be comforting,
a ray of hope,
to know that that all my struggles could at once just end.
Like the way a man setenced to death
hopes that that the guillotine will malfunction
or the rain will let him slip out of the noose.
To each his own...
But now I know
the speed of your death
Death is like a train at the metro.
When it pulls up,
you have to make sure it's your time,
becuase nobody really wants to ride that carriage

We may see someone walking down the street, and immediately have a watered-down idealized image of them, in their room, doing whatever it is that they do, in their skin, with their experiences behind them, and their world in front of them.
We can empathize with others in a general sense––
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be another?
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up as a random passer-by?
We have an image of what these people are like behind closed doors, when there’s no one around, when they can just be. We interpret these imaginings as beautiful, as interesting, as different, we romanticize the idea of them. We know we’ll never learn the steps to their tune, just as they’ll never dance to the beat of our
