"Great, it's a date!" Toothless said with a smile.
Hiccup immediately turned around, walking the other way, and called, "Well, I better get to the subway if I'm going to class!" And with a wave over his shoulder, he was gone.
As soon as he was out of sight, Toothless mentally smacked himself.
'Seriously? It's a date? Way to probably scare him off," Toothless thought to himself. Sure, he had decided after their last meeting that he wanted their relationship to go that direction eventually, but he needed to take it slowly. As much as Hiccup may try to seem comfortable around him, and perhaps to a certain degree he was, Toothless could still sense a mild bit of reservation when they were together. He needed to break through that first before he could make any type of move.
The first thing that Toothless did after that was call the restaurant to make the reservation. It really was the best restaurant that Toothless could think of and he wanted to make sure their meal was a good one.

She dropped Jack's arm, freezing, clutching strands of her long blonde hair.
" Oh, not you, too!" Merida scolded, putting her hands on her hips.
Rapunzel yelped, and because she was a lioness, it was horrifically loud.
" What?!" Hiccup exclaimed, startled and dropping the slipper he held.
" Someone stepped on my hair!!"
" You did it to yourself!" Jack told her, pointing to where she was, indeed, stepping on her own hair.

When they settle 'neath your skin.
Kept on the inside, no sunlight.
Sometimes a shadow wins.
But i wonder what would happen if you,
Say what you wanna say!

Hiccup faltered behind his friends, holding the one ruby slipper tight in his hands.
Jack walked back to his side, taking up one of his hands.
Overwhelmed, the second he felt the familiar weight Hiccup burst into tears.
He dropped to his knees, letting the shoe fall into his lap. Jack put his arms around him quickly, Merida and Rapunzel rushing back and holding him too. Toothless burrowed his way between Jack and Hiccup to lick his master's cheek.
" Hiccup? What's wrong?" Merida soothed, her cold hands brushing away his tears.
" I just...i can't do it....i thought we were gonna see the Wizard...i was so happy..."
He started crying harder.
" But now i know i can't do it! He might as well just come out here and shout 'go away'!"
" If you quit now, then it looks like we came all this way for nothing!!" Jack exclaimed harshly, squeezing Hiccup's hand.
" Don't cry, Hiccup." Rapunzel begged,
