Once upon a time, when man was young and magic filled the world, there was a country called the Land of Lights. The Land of Lights was a peaceful place, full of eccentricities like floating werelights, enchanted crystals, and river ghosts. This Land was divided into many provinces; one of them was the lush Valley of the Lion. The Valley of the Lion was home to many beautiful beings and, most relevantly to our story, many beautiful colors.
In a tree, swathed in leafy verdance, a silver butterfly perched atop a red vine blossom. Its delicate proboscis flickered outward, hovering indecisively above the flower. If some outside observer had known how to interpret butterfly body language, they might have noticed that this one was very nervous. It was, in fact, anxious in the extreme. Deep within its little brain, it knew that its incredibly short attention span had caused it to forget something very important.
