Chapter 1: Beginning
My reflection in the mirror smiles back at me. The reflection combs its hair when I comb my hair and I can’t help but hum on a little tune.
“Maka!” Soul yells my name from his studio. “Can you come here for a sec?”
I raise my eyebrow while I put down my comb in front of the mirror. “Sure.” I yell back before I get up and walk over to Soul’s studio where he spends his whole day locked inside. A couple of days had gone by and I had reported sick every day. Since I wanted to stay home, Soul couldn’t go to school so he was home with me.
“Come on Maka, we won’t be going to any classes. We’ll only be at the exams. No one will care about you.” Soul said and pulled the blanket off of me. “Get dressed, breakfast is on the table.”
Soul disappeared out from my bedroom and I got up from my bed, making myself ready.
