Perhaps one of the most powerful evenings I've seen in Southern California (Encinitas), this split sunset represents all those difficult choices we make in our lives as we are caught between what we think is right for us and the cold reality. This image holds a lot of personal meaning for me however I hope it can relate to something you've experienced, because we've all been caught between dreams. This is all one image and a real sunset. No color corrections or blending.
As the sun sets, it unleashes these beautiful formations, as sprawling dragonflame across northwestern sky; complimenting the glorious mountainous formations: The Elephant at centre-left and The Lion at centre-right.
Note the subtle reflection of the blazing clouds in the snow towards the peak of Mount Pembroke.
Made in the middle of winter at magical Milford Sound.

So its been a while right. My photography has disappeared of late due to work commitments which seem to be taking any spare moment of life that I have. So I decided the other night to revisit some shots of old to remember what it is like to be out there.
Ahh this shot. Taken on the amazing birthday trip to the south island of NZ. And while we were looking for Lake Alexandrina, Lake McGregor was a nice surprise. The trip was one of a life time, brought about by my best bud TimP and along came my other best bud, The Squashed One and the Dexman.
Hope everyone has a cracking weekend that’s coming up.
Spotted this run off as we crossed over a beautiful old bridge running parallel to Lake Tekapo. The 4wd was having a great time on the dirt road while listening to a bit of Mumford & Sons. I don't tend to take daytime photos (personal preference only) but on this occasion I was drawn to. Its not a cracking shot but it does remind me of the beauty of the area as well as the times spent over there. Hopefully that comes through.
