"I think I'm done with girls," Rex declared as he flopped onto Noah's bed.
"Oh, really?" he asked, not looking up from his homework. "Why's that?"
"They're all crazy, especially the blondes." Rex said goading his friend.
"Don't you act all offended I wasn't talking about you, stupid. I was talking about Annie."
"Oh yeah," Rex repeated.
"You still haven't answered the question," Noah said.
Rex hesitated. "I don't know, maybe I've found something better." He said cryptically and looked at Noah.
He saw Noah turned in his swivel chair. He smiled at him. "Maybe you have.

Say Goodbye 3.2
Noah came out of the memory with a gasp and resisted the urge to suffocate himself with his pillow. He couldn't believe what had happened between them last night and yet, here they were trying to deal with the familiar situation of the awkward morning after.
Noah ran a hand through his hair and cleared his throat. "So."
"So," Rex repeated and shifted so he was facing the blond.
"How do you feel?" Noah asked drawing on all the experience he had with The Morning After.
Rex looked up as he thought about it. "A little sore and hungry." He answered and looked away.
Noah nodded. "And us?" he supplied.
Rex looked back at him. "What about us?"
Noah pressed his lips together. "Are we still okay?"
Rex gave him a look as he considered it. "Yeah," he answered slowly. "Yeah, we're good."
Noah was about to sigh in relief
GR - June BugNoah remembered the first time he ever met Six and Holiday's daughter.More Like This
Although, by "met", he tended to refer to the first time he met her as a child, at the point where she could comprehend other people's existences on a deeper level aside from her mother and father. Most babies just smiled and laughed at everything, especially a girl as sugary sweet as her. So Noah didn't have to particularly worry about a first impression. And it wasn't until she turned five that the girl hung around Providence regularly, after plenty of crying and whining from what he heard, anyway for the chance to see where her parents worked.
And, needless to say one day was more than enough to get her hooked.
...Of course, she hit it off especially well with Rex. He was just the type of guy that was great with kids. Especially one as young as her to laugh sincerely at his lame jokes.
With Noah, it was a little more difficult. And the only thing to blame for that was bad timing.
GR - First DateThe sound of running footsteps was loud and echoed along the hallways of Providence, reverberating all the way to reach Noah's ears from several yards away. But it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who they most likely belonged to on a calm day like this.More Like This
Noah turned just in time to see Rex skidding into view as he turned a corner. Then, upon seeing the blonde down the hall, he immediately rushed back into a sprint straight towards him.
The man in question abruptly tensed when it was clear Rex was going to be using him as a stopping device for his dash when he tackled right into him.
"N-noah!" Rex said again, out of breath, once both straightened up and he placed his hands on Noah's shoulders for him to focus on the grave expression he was wearing, "...We have...a situation..."
"...Uh...okay..." Noah looked at him with a mixture of confusion and skepticism. It was always hard to tell with Rex if what he was so frantic about was really worth it. If this was like the
GR - Three WordsNoah was a logical person.More Like This
Always had been. And probably always would be.
Unlike another person he knew, he couldn't bring himself to be careless about things. He had to think ahead, at least slightly. He had to plan, weigh the pros and cons, consider every possibility, and then make the right choice. That was just the best way to deal with things. It was the safe way to deal with things. He was only human, after all.
Of course, he was a risk-taker in other aspects of his life. That was certain.
There was, perhaps, no one in Providence who didn't consider him to be a highly reckless agent. And yet he was successful in his rashness, just as Rex was, and so there was no real issue to be discussed. Most people in their line of work referred to recklessness as bravery, anyway.
...But no. With the important things, Noah was logical. He was careful. He was more cautious of things that held a true weight. Things that would affect him for the rest of his life.

To give his arms a rest, Cesar was pushing him along. Calan had stacks of Cesar’s paperwork in his lap, and was rifling through it, occasionally giving Cesar a run down on its contents.
"This is a mighty long speech Cesar..." Calan raised an eyebrow "be surprised ya don’t faint after talking this much!"
"Its a once a year thing, so it’s got to be major." Cesar pulled a face "plus, I got a lot of new stuff to present this time. Normally this much on my own would be a pain, but with your help~" he trailed doff there, his happy tone making Calan blush again.

Holiday had assured her she’d look into it, but as her day kept her busier and busier, she sent one of the nurses to calan’s quarters to see if he needed assistance with anything. So she was surprised when the nurse came back ten minutes later looking weirded out.
"Alright, lets hear it," holiday sighed "what’s your excuse?"
“It’s not ME, its HIM!" the guy spluttered "he refused to let me anywhere near him!"
"Really?" she asked. It wasn’t like Calan to be so hostile...
"Yeah," the guy shook his head "he said..well, lets replace a rude word with a nicer one..."

Before the accident, they had very little to do with each other. Cesar spent his time in his mobile lab or occasionally in the larger ones at providence. Calan divided his time between guard patrol, kicking EVO butt, and trips out to the BASIC training compound. They rarely crossed paths, but when they did it was usually just a brief "hello", or on one occasion "want a hand?" when Cesar was close to teetering over under the weight of the boxes he was carrying.
That morning was as normal as any other, until the sudden EVO attack. They stealthed out of flipping nowhere by all accounts, although camera footage did catch a flash of a suspiciously familiar red portal opening to let the horde out. Whatever way they arrived, it meant chaos. Soldiers were running left right and centre, trying to keep them back, but there was quite a swarm of the blighters.

The place was a mess, broken tables and chairs littered the gym floor. Streamers lay in torn ruins. And instead of the silver light of the disco ball, the place was flooded with red and blue lights of the EMS vehicles outside.
"Why is it things go so horribly wrong at prom?" Noah asked dejectedly.
Rex pulled out his phone and with a gentle tap he played a soft rock song, then approached the blond and cleared his throat. "Can I have this dance?" he asked, holding out his hand.
Noah looked up and smiled. "I thought you'd never ask."
