This is a few seconds exposure. Lighted using one of those miner headlamps but mini version strapped to my head. Sorry for all the hands these past few days... but not sorry because they are exceedingly easy to photograph than other parts of a human.

And in other news, I won consolation prize in a small competition organised by one of the clubs of my university and the photo will be exhibited tomorrow. It all sounds very fancy but it's not, really.

Today was a nice day besides raining a lot and ruining my plans of taking photo's at the park ..i decided to stay home and watch some movies and Inception was one of them so after the movie was over i decided to listen the soundtrack and it is pretty good if you like instrumental music :D
I'm not sure if i like it yet but i hope you guys do because it was pretty hard to get that flower inside the bubble. (i had some leftover from an older experiment using bubbles i got from iparty long time ago)
Taken af f/5 and shutter speed 1/13 ISO 400 .
NO TEXTURES USED. I sprayed some water and used my speedlites to create that effect.
FULL VIEW PLEASE .i think it looks better that way.

This atmosphere was worth getting up also on feast by 5 oŽclock in the morning. What a mood to start Father's Day .
As the sun was rising I already wanted to leave the location as suddenly this sick light emerged. The time window was only extremely short and I even had to give up my portrait, as the sun disappeared immediately behind the thick clouds.

WOW!! What a perfect night for stars!!!

This was taken this morning around 3:30am in Banff, AB! I was delighted with a small meteor show. One happened to sneak into this pano! As well as some faint Aurora glow to the north!

A very, very wide view of this extravagantly beautiful waterfall. Multiple shifted shots merged, creating something to the effect of a 150 mp mosaic. Amazingly, I didn't have to fix anything with respect to the water not lining up, etc.

On a different note, bringing a technical camera here is a very bad idea. . . the focusing/workflow is so slow, it's almost impossible to shoot without getting water on the lens. It's very, very tedious, while shooting this with a DSLR would have been rather simple.

Landscapes

Collection by
Torridon, UK
Winter 2012

With the aim of shooting some Scottish Landscapes in dynamic weather I started my trip to Great Britain in mid-November and traveled for about 5 weeks trough the country. My journey took me from the south coast of England via Northumberland to Scotland. In Scotland I traveled from the Isle of Skye to Caithness, Torridon and Assynt. As expected the weather conditions were very contrary (snow, sun, storm, rain). The exposed position at the Atlantic Ocean is responsible for the unpredictable weather in western Scotland. Often it’s possible to experience several seasons within one day. Although it often wasn’t very easy to keep my camera dry, I was rewarded with a variety of spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

In early December winter comes to northern Scotland. Ice covered the countless lakes and the frequently showers turn into snowfall. In the last part of my UK series I show the shots from Wester Ross. The photos were taken during several hikes in the spectacular mountainous regions An Teallach and Torridon. I'll upload them here on DA during the next days. English descriptions and more shoots will follow soon!

As down the glen one Easter morn
To a city fair rode I,
There armed lines of marching men
In squadrons passed me by.

No pipe did hum, no battle drum
Did sound its loud tattoo
But the Angelus' bells o'er the Liffey swells
Rang out in the foggy dew.

The bravest fell, and the requiem bell
Rang mournfully and clear
For those who died that Easter-tide
In the springing of the year.

While the world did gaze with deep amaze
At those fearless men but few
Who bore the fight that freedom's light
Might shine through the foggy dew...

An image from a recent trip in the volcanoes, as you can see the sunset was very pleasant. The image was done with two focus points to have the flowers in the foreground as sharp as the mount
ains in the background. There was constant wind and I couldn't get less blur in the flowers, but it created a nice effet in the grasses a bit further too, and it's still my best shot from this good moment.

It was for this shot that I made the 10-hour drive up to Banff National Park. This was my last day in Canada and I got up at 3:30am so I could be in position before sunrise.

I had this view all to myself, but not for long. Soon, more photographers and other people started arriving to enjoy the view.

Moraine Lake has been on my bucket list for years and I'm so glad I finally got to cross this one off my list!

Finally got around to really polishing up some images from this day. Processed a couple of them up to print quality, so this one is now available for sale! [link] This was one of my absolute favorite days from 2011, and it was on a local chase! The chase mostly busted, but when we got back to Omaha we were treated to this- more than made up for the chase! :wow: Just a little storm updraft that produced a ridiculous amount of mammatus over our heads. I felt like I could jump up and touch them =D

I found this shot on my hard drive while going through some old photos. Taken a couple of years ago during quite a colourful sunset with interesting clouds above the mountains.

Taken in Low wood, which borders Wastwater Lake, in the Wasdale Valley, in Cumbria, England. My first proper viewing of bluebells for 6 years. A lovely woodland circular walk, ending with the classic view down the lake to Great Gable.

rainbow boats should be the norm for all river cruises.. I had to wait quite long to get the rainbow boats in the picture. I guess it was worth it in the end.

Hope you like the result!

Thoughts and Description
This is my submission for the Where I Live photography contest held by #CRPhotography ([link]).

Well, this doesn't look like a country does it? Well, I decided to take on a different approach to the title of this competition. I decided to focus on where I feel I live rather than on the grounds I physically do so - and for me, that is in the clouds.

I feel (and have been told many a time) that I have my head in the clouds - I'm always thinking and find it so easy to just drift off into thought, usually leading me to forgetting something I wanted to do the minute before :giggle: So I guess, if there is anything to represent where I live, this couldn't have been any better!

I felt at home the entire three hours I spent on the plane (going back home from London). This is a photo I took through the window of the plane (: I spent it just taking photos intermittently and just looking into the endless carpet of beauty, lost in thought and awe. I wasn't bored for a second. I love it up there and wish I could be physically there too all the time

Tried to keep the editing minimal too (:

These were everyday sounds magnified by darkness. And darkness was nothing - it was not a substance, it was not a presence, it was no more than an absence of light. ― Ian McEwan, Atonement

Under and below point of view of it close up, the experience was amazing and the presence were very well intense, even thou there were times it came off and on, we stuck around and enjoyed it.
