Chapter 1 | The Reclamation of Evil
"Goodnight dear." Dartz said, giving his daughter Kriss a parting kiss. She hugged him with all the gratefulness one could have for having her father returned to her a normal man, and gave a merry laugh as she then gamboled off to her room to sleep.
Dartz gave a considering smile. His daughter was now in her late teens, full of innocence and maturity; one couldn't ask for a better combination in a young person. The King of the Atlantians set aside the aqua-colored book he'd held in his hands, and rose from his chair. With a great desire to see the night's sky, he walked toward the over-sized archway that led out onto the palace veranda.
As Dartz stepped out onto the marble, metal-accented veranda, the city of New Atlantis stretched out before him. Dartz smiled: now that the city was rebuilt --having been arranged much differently than it had been in ages passed-- it looked almost normal. All the evening lights were burning with a sof

One for the Team
A Flash Fiction
Warning: Contains innuendo.
Team Satisfaction to any onlooker would on the surface look like any of the other gang of duelists that populated the Satellite of Neo Domino City. But, they did not seek power in the same sense as they others. They did not terrorize the ordinary citizenry that struggled to stay alive in the decaying carcass that was once part of the greater city. But, they were a terror to the other gangs, cutting a swath of defeat in their wake.
What Team Satisfaction sought was purpose. They wanted their lives to have more meaning than scurrying about their home, just trying to get by. They wanted to have made their mark on the world, to be ‘satisfied’ with their lives- hence the name. And so, they sought to fulfill this need for purpose by wiping out all the other gangs running around, thus ‘conquering’ the Satellite under their banner.
And so far, they had gone unchallenged. Thi
Runner or Fighter Chapter 1You looked over to where you knew the Satelite was and sighed before turning back to your D--Wheel to fix the braking system while thinking about what your life was there. You managed to get yourself out of there after your older brother was imprisoned and was now out but really sick, so you've been taking care of him. You looked back at the Satelite before finishing the a touch of the repair. You heard a runner outside your shop and stood up while heading out to see who it was. You could tell that the guy originally came from the Satelite like you from the way he was more rigid than people who've lived on the good side of things their whole lives. You went to turn back when you saw that it was your friend, you started heading back into your shop. Turning back to face him while wiping off the oil and grease you got a good look at him and said, "Hey Yusei, long time no see."More Like This
He nodded while taking off his helmet and you went back to working on the braking system of your own runner sayin

You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard the doorbell ring. Looking at the time, you went down the hall and answered the door to see Yusei standing there. Raising an eyebrow at the man being here at 11 at night, you let him inside before closing the door and seeing that he looked exhausted. You lead him to your kitchen and made some warm milk for him to which he gave you his thanks while sitting down to which you asked, "Are they at it again?"
Yusei nodded before taking a sip of his milk and then saying, "I know it's getting late, but you know how Jack and Crow can get."
You gave him a small smile before making yourself a cup of tea and saying, "Yusei, we've known each other more than long enough for you to come over in the middle of the night. I don't mind that you do."
He gave you a small smil

You watched in silent awe as the rain continued to drizzle down outside; its moistness already collecting on the window pane.
You loved days like this. Days when it would downright pour. You lived for the days when you could run outside and splash around in the water.
You loved how free and clean it made you feel when it hit your skin. You loved how quiet it was when it was raining; everyone ran for cover, which left you with large, open areas completely to yourself. You loved the rhythmic pattering of the raindrops on the cobbled pavement beneath your feet.
Of course, your infatuation with the weather had it's downsides.
You let out a loud cough, cringing as the action made your throat burn terribly. You reached helplessly for the glass of water that sat on your bedside table, letting out a small groan of annoyance when you couldn't manage to reach it. Everything ached, and hoisting yourself up to get to your water wasn’t worth the pain and hassle.
"Need some help?"
