Fractal Parameter Use PolicyI didn't think I needed one of these, because I trusted the fractal art community to be a little more decent, and it saddens me that I have to make this post now.More Like This
It has come to my attention that some of my parameters have been used by an artist who claims it was all 100% from-scratch Apo work, not based on anyone else's, when it's obvious that it's really a tweak. I know it's naive to feel this way, how I can't believe someone would do that, but I can't help it, and I recognize now that it would be in my favor to actually write up what I am and am not okay with. I thought it was common sense. I was wrong. So now, to be perfectly clear:
I DO want you to use my parameters. Study them, tweak them, make them into something new and unique, and LEARN from them. When I was learning Apophysis, I always found it frustrating that there were so many beautiful styles out there and no instructions on how to do it, and as such, I will always share my parameters on principle, just as I wished

The best advice in this post is: If you need legal counsel, then seek it. Don't get it from the internet or this post. Hire professionals who do it for a living, and for the love of god, don't defend yourself in court.
you all know i am not very technical so this is gonna be pretty rough at best but this is what i do if i find my art somewhere i don't want it.......
the first thing i do is contact the person displaying it and advise them all my images are copyright protected and please remove it....
then i wait a few days...
if the image is still there then i send the site an email with this form.....keeping things professional at this point is a must...and just sending an email asking them to remove the image will not work......here is the form i use

Im curious to know about print sales and quality..First... I'm planning to order a couple (well... one to start) of prints from DA... But I'm very curious as to how many prints some of you have actually sold. My budget is kind of tapped this week with ordering a new drive and a couple enclosures for some 2.5" drives but am very seriously considering transforming the unused half of my house to a gallery.. Gawd I wish I had bought one of the large format printers when I had the cash a couple years ago, but the stuff I'm looking at runs in the thousands of $$$ U.S.... want to get a little wide format that I can print the 19x13 stuff and frame myself but ANY tips from you guys would be appreciated. I certainly wouldn't want you to post publicly (unless that is your preference) and any info you note me would be held in the strictest confidence. But... Is it worth it; to submit higher resolution images available for print? I'm definitely planning to get a new domain over the next month and have some experience in selling online.
