Ultra Fractal Tutorial: Create a New Gradient FileMore Like This
This is quickie tutorial for beginners (and maybe for those old timers who've been using Ultra Fractal so long they've forgotten how!) on How to Create a New Gradient File in Ultra Fractal.
At the end of the tutorial you will have a nice set of colourful gradients to choose from for when you're stuck for ideas, and be able to apply them to the Fractal files you are working on.
As your experience with using Ultra Fractal grows you will find that more and more you will create and edit the gradients you are working with "on the hoof", but to start with it's a good idea to have a range of gradients to choose from as you're learning.
It's also useful to know how to save Gradients you've made while working on an image for repeat use at a later time.
Remember the Help file in UF is also very extensive, and will assist you further in creating and editing your Gradients manually.
Copyright Violated Fractal Art for SaleThis Has Come To my Notice - Heads Up All Fractal ArtistsMore Like This
I found out via the Ultrafractal FB page that a company called Cross Stitch Collectibles has been discovered to be selling other people's art, including fractal art, without permission and in total violation of copyright law. They claim copyright on all of it for themselves. Here's the link to their fractal art page: http://xs-collectibles.com/cat-Fractals-247.aspx
Furthermore, they are now selling through Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Fractals-Cross-Stitch-Vol-6/dp/B0013TPGCE/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&qid=1429662935&sr=8-31&keywords=cross-stitch%20fractal%20patterns
A lot of the work belongs to Paul Carlson and others too, and the company are saying that although they are willing to remove any copyrighted material, they require a notice from the copyright holder before they will do so.
Take a look and see if any of the work is yours!
I gather this is the person dealing with it mm
