Chapter 3: The Black Room
Once I had gotten on my feet, the rest flew by. Rooms full of colors and art were behind me now, passing by as if I was teleporting.
I was in a complete daze, thinking about Garry. I felt horrible. Sadness from the fact that I forgot him.
As I went from room to room, passing mannequins and the ladies in red,
that pain soon turned to a complete need to find him.
He may be alright.
He could be there.
He might have been waiting for me all this time.
right?
I wasn't tempted to leave until I found out.
As i walked in the sketchbook city, something made me think.
'the forgotten portrait' was still in the muse

I walked through those glass doors below a giant sign, "Geurtena museum' and I smiled the moment I walked in.
Allie and Hannah laughed loudly at some picture and ran off in that direction.
Awesome! Just some time to sink and drown in the art! I thought.
I ran down the hall, only to look at my favorites. 'Embodiment of the spirit', 'lady in red' and others like 'marvelous night'.
This whole place suited me. I wrote down every note or spec of information I could find, and glided down the white hallways again in search of a new piece of art.
It was all amazing. Inspiring. Geurtena had to be a really smart man, righ

The ice cold wind brushed at my face, bringing my nose to turn red. It was late autumn, and the snow had recently started to fall. I was currently making my way to my school.
When I entered the doors, the heat brought instant content. I had just realized how cold I had been.
My life was ordinary. My average day would have been getting up and 6:30 to get ready.. I would head to school, and it would take five minutes...
I had two friends, Allie and Hannah... Allie was a spunky sort, who liked to read and write, and wants to write a book when she is older. Her eyes, I have never seen. She always has her

"Garry?" Ib asked softly as she tugged on Garry's dark blue coat. "Please... you have to get up!"
"Ib..." Garry said softly. "Go on without me... please..." Gary managed to say with little strength he had left. Leaning against a wall, Garry began to breathe slower.
Just say my name and I'll come running, okay?" Garry said finishing very softly with a strained smile.
Garry's smile faded slowly as Mary's laugh echoed manically with a trail of blue petals on the blood colored carpet.
"Please... Ib..." Garry whispered softly once again as eyes began to slowly close. "Please..."
Garry's eyes closed and never open

Ib walked to the black hand, carefully sliding the ring onto the correct finger. As the beautiful ring slid into place, the entire atmosphere of the paintings and hands around them changed to something much better.
The bride and the groom's faces changed into a bright smile, as if happy to know that their marriage was safely locked with the ring.
The hands also stopped moving, peace settling into them. The plaques that was once inscribed with 'Grieving' and 'Sorrowful' was replaced with 'Blessed'.
As it all happened, the bride threw her bouquet right at Ib. Right into her arms.
"Huh?" Ib said as she looked at t

The scenery was dark and damp from the earlier rainfall and there wasn't a soul in sight. Ib woke up to the dead silence as she rubbed her eyes. The sky was grey and looked as if it would start another downpour at any given moment. She shifted to get up but noticed the heavy weight on her shoulders. Her crimson eyes processed the tattered coat as her small hands further bundled the warm fabric around her. A groan next to her caused her to turn her head. Garry was still sleeping like a big baby. Ib smiled as she quietly rose to her feet and gently blanketed the coat over the

Their footsteps echoed as they made their way to the glass doors. As they stepped towards them, Ib noticed that the room was gradually getting darker. Garry also took notice to this and started to pick up the pace.
"Looks like it's curtains closed for this place," he said as he grabbed Ib's hand, "Let's hurry."
Ib nodded as she began to trot to keep up with Garry's long strides. The blue roses around them began to dull and darken as if they were being burned by some unseen flame. And when they stepped through the doors the roses dissolved into nothing but black ash. Bu

The man stood lost and confused as he desperately tried to grasp memories that were no longer present. He had no idea who he was or where he came from. Even though he had said he had come from the museum, he had no recollection of actually being there. The only thing he had was a frozen image of what appeared to be a room in a gallery. He trembled as loss turned to frustration then to sorrow. The man collapsed to his knees as he held the sides of his head as if trying to squeeze out any hidden pieces of information he had bottled up inside of him. But sadly, not so much as a nam

Dark silence. This is my world—nothing but black and blue shadows. The scent of roses is a comfort and I feel as though I'm sleeping in a cradle of vines. I'm at ease here but I always felt as if I was missing something. If I could open my eyes, what would I see? Then again, why would I want to wake up? I'm content as I am in this shadow filled dream. But, why do I feel so cold?
This soundless void is all I have, but every now and then, I hear a gentle voice from the abyss; a painfully warm and nostalgic voice that speaks of a promise—one that I have long forgotten. Every time I'm on the brink of rem

"Garry! Wake up Garry!" said the blond girl, shaking the young man on the arm. "The school bell has already gone."
The young man tossed back his violet hair to massage his forehead in his half sleeping state."W-what...? Oh, it's just you Mary."
"Get up already, you old man. Everyone else is already gone."
"Oh, right. We're still at school." Garry said, raising his head to see his sister Mary, who was a year younger than him. She had large blue eyes and wavy blond hair, and was very gentle underneath her rough demeanor.
Mary looked at her older brother, and saw tears rolling down his cheeks. "Garry, are you
