The viewpoint I have taken this photograph from has a name, but I can't remember it to save my life
As I was driving from Bushmills, towards Portrush, I stopped here, as the car park was overlooking the cliffs. I jumped the safety barrier to get closer to the cliffs, set up the tripod and waited for the sun to come out. I didn't get much time, just after 3 minutes it started to rain. You can see it was raining over Portrush already.

Merrick Butte stands sentinel over Monument Valley, a place of surreal landscapes and towering walls of sandstone, which straddles the Utah/Arizona border.
This place has to be seen to be believed. One feels small, and appreciates the majesty of our planet while standing amidst such towering mesas, spires, walls of sandstone and wind-carved windows; all painted in beautiful desert colors which are amplified tenfold as the sun begins to set.
Monument Valley is, without a doubt, one of the top 10 most beautiful places on earth. You must see it in your lifetime.
Though all the world may hate us, we are named The shadow overtake us, we are known
We're more than static and dial tone We are the image of the invisible We're emblematic of the unknown We are the image of the invisible So raise the banner, bend back your bows We are the image of the invisible Remove the cancer, take back your souls We are the image of the invisible
I cannot express strongly enough just how badly I hope you can come to this place one day.

( When I first published it, back in 2005, I could not imagine this picture would become sort of "popular" so I didn't think about putting a copyright to it. Now it has been used without my consent and even stolen by other people who pretend it is their work. It's too late to do anything now, but I write this just to let you know that THIS is the original picture )
