I have mixed feelings about this. I mean Michael knows how to make a great movie, the effects and features are amazing! But his idea of making the turtles aliens? nahh!! I mean, i guess, in the some of the story line, such as the 2003 and 2012 animated series, they are kinda aliens. Their mutation is due to aliens.
Michael Bay revealed at the 2012 Nickeloden Upfront on March 14, 2012 that the film will be titled "Ninja Turtles" [10] and that the Turtles will no longer be mutants, but instead be members of an alien race. However, considering that Bay is not part of the creative process of the film, this remains to be seen.
In response to the announcement of the turtles being aliens, Robbie Rist who voiced Michelangelo the first three films, wrote to Bay accusing him of "sodomizing" the franchise.
