With the light of day now brightening my surroundings, I could see that the forest did have an end. A stretch of mountains could be seen rising over the trees ahead, and behind me, the outlines of the wastelands shimmered in the distance, an aura of darkness drifting over them. To my left I could vaguely see what looked like a desert area on the horizon, and to my right, the forest seemed to extend without end. However, what stood out above all of these was a particularly high mountain peak ahead and slightly to my left. I stared at it for a moment, wondering what exactly it was before shaking my head.
