Each breath of wind sent ripples along the water, resulting in the gentle shifting of the bridge beneath the young tom's paws. Lowering his gaze to the unstable surface he stood on, the Blue-Water watched as his grip remained loose but steady, his calm demeanor making it easy to sway his body with the movement of the stump and keep his balance.
Letting his eyes slip shut, Coud lowered his head, feeling the faint shift of the water beneath his perch. A gust rifled through his fur and his tattoo lit up, the wind seeming to drag the curves of his blue rune along his shoulder and up his neck. As the glow spread, he looked towards the center of the lake and stood, staring down at the slight drop. Bunching his muscles beneath him, he leaped forward, bracing for a splash of water. Instead, narrowing his eyes in concentration, his paws met the surface of the lake and, although momentarily unsure, his footing remained solid.
