One Year Later... Boston StrongOne year ago, on April 15, 2013, my city was attacked. It's hard to believe that today is the first anniversary of the explosions that took place at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.More Like This
As many of you know, I have lived in Massachusetts my entire life. I am located only 40 minutes south of my beautiful city. There is nowhere like it in the world. The rich history, culture, and people have been a landmark of the United States since its founding.
Similar to September 11, 2001, I still remember exactly where I was one year ago today. Driving through Plymouth on my day off to get lobster rolls and clam strips with my old college roommate. We were admiring the mansions along the ocean. I remember receiving a text from x0megster0x. The words were "someone bombed our marathon."
I remember trying to call a friend who was in that area and being unable to reach him. I didn't know until later that cellular service had been suspended in the city. That was a scary moment.
