Not Just NumbersThe oldest face, the youngest age - I'm total paradox,More Like This
My journey just began, and I don't know too many spots
Of Time and Space, but I am sure beginning will be done -
A single step to thousand miles, because I've got Not Just Number that is One.
Now in the mirror I expect to see good things. Instead
I see the Littlest Hobo who looks just like unmade bed.
Recorder, diary and luck... and asking "Who are you?" -
A smile and gesture "victory", because I've got Not Just Number that is Two.
That isn't me at all! This hair is just like candy floss,
And being stuck on Earth is easy thing to make me cross!
But I have car and gadgets and my martial skills with me,
They say I'm daddy-dandy - fine, because I've got Not Just Number that is Three.
The Teeth and Curls, the Scarfman or the Jelly Baby Man -
That's what I'm called right now, and I'm a real potluck fan.
Some deadly things are coming through, but now you say no more -
I'm not the reason of all that, though I have got Not Just Number that
Outsider InWe all have experienced the feeling of being an outsider, a simple observer of any fact, or scene playing out before us. This unpleasant position gives us no context, no story, no knowledge. The basis of any true thought is stripped away until only one thing remains: assumption. Anyone can assume something by looking at whatever lay in front of them. Take the ruins upon that hill outside your window.More Like This
Gates surround the hill bearing signs that say “Keep Out” and “Private Property”. These warnings are coupled by the fact that anyone who went in always told the same story; “Nothing much, just a few old rocks. We should have gone to a movie instead”. Something bearing those characteristics.
After a while the mystique of a place like that is lost. So many hundreds of people have gone and spoken of uneventful happenings that no one has a true desire to go exploring. So, we are left as outsiders. We are at a lost for the true context and history of that vie
The Watch of LightOld Man pulled at the silver chain and out of his jacket’s pocket came the most beautifully ornamented, golden pendant Andrea had ever seen. It was about the size of a silver dollar, but maybe twice as thick. Lines, as thin as a single hair on her head, crisscrossed over the surface and the girl was absolutely fascinated by the way the light got caught in the tiny grooves, only to be released again in a thousand different colors.More Like This
She smiled as Old Man held up the pendant and pushed a barely noticeable knob at the side of the surface. It sprang open and Andrea suddenly understood.
“It is a watch”, she muttered under her breath. And what a watch it was. With eyes wide open in wonder she traced the impossibly detailed face of the clock. Only an artist on top of his craft could have created such a thing of beauty. Every number on the dial was etched into a platinum inlay with impeccable precision and then filled with what seemed to be molten, still simmering gold. The han
Prologue: Gold and AmberMore Like This
The wind whispered softly through the bristles of the pine trees, a sweet song familiar to the land it sang to. Atrum Nemus was a proud land full of proud wolves. They walked the night, creatures of dusk and shadow those wolves. They knew every pitch black forest like the back of their paw. That fateful night, however, no wolf was out in the forest. The ground was covered in frost where the trees denied anything from the sky entrance. In the meadows, the land glittered with new fallen snow. It muffled the world, pristine and pure.
In a small hollow beneath the pines, sheltered from the thick snow, a she wolf begged the gods for mercy. Her rosy pink-white fur was smeared with dirt and blood, her eyes wide with the strain her body was feeling. She clamped on a stick to keep from howling to the heavens, but the stick was already splintering and cracking beneath her powerful jaws. She was a hunter; her jaws were strong enough to k
Paper ButterflyWhite-capped waves rolled onto the beach. A gusty breeze blew through the wildgrass lining the edge of the sand bank. Walking along the shore, a little girl held the hand of her father as he guided her along the sand. After a few moments of walking, he came to a halt then smiled down at the mess of blonde curls blowing in the wind.More Like This
"Ready?" He asked his little girl.
Her blue eyes sparkled when she met his gaze, a smile spreading across her face in excitement. Two little hands tightly gripped a red spindle on which a piece of string was wound. Tied to the end of the string was a large butterfly; a butterfly masterfully crafted by her own imagination. Magnificent reds, yellows, greens, blues, and purples were painted on the butterfly, creating a colourful contrast to the white sand beneath their feet. With a firm toss, the paper butterfly was released into the wind, taking flight and soaring gracefully across the sky. A laugh escaped the little girl's lips as she watched in wonder at the
NEW CONTEST!So I have a comic idea that I am developing. Problem is, I only have the lineart for the main character. I can't find a good palette for her.More Like This
So I want you guys to help me out with this.
I will provide a PSD lineart that you can colour. However, you may make your own lines if you wish, but it must have the same design as the one below.
In order to enter this contest, you MUST do the design AND post a journal/poll/whatever you wish about this contest. I want people to know, and I'd like to get a lot of entries! The actual design you colour/draw and colour must have the colour palette beside it as well.
I have the right to change the design in any way as well.
This contest ends August 10,2013. NO LAST MINUTE ENTRIES.
EDIT: Contest is extended until August 20,2013.
The winner will get a shaded fullbody of whoever they want, but the rules are generally the same as they are for commissions, but I will make a few exceptions.
