It seemed that no matter what you did, you couldn’t get rid of them. You’d tried all the tricks you could think of, even the ones that normally worked for you had failed. Let’s try the one with the glass again, you thought to yourself. After running the water into a glass and wiping your hands from some spilt water, you licked your lips and once again took a deep breath.
Again, your intake of breath was disturbed by a hiccup but you endeavoured to continue nonetheless. Taking a sip from the opposite rim of the glass, you tried very hard not to spill anything onto the tiles of the kitchen.
