Tuesday Muse-Day Chapter IITuesday Muse Day Chapter IIMore Like This
Hello and welcome back! Today I will continue on the journey during a near death experience (NDE)!
Warning - do not try to emulate this experience at home!!
In the first instalment, I was in that state of being dropped at high speed, down and down, and even feeling a force behind me that seemed to accelerate the process. Far, far beneath me I thought I could see something that seemed very dark and foreboding; it didn't give me a good feeling - in fact, I wished with all of my "being" that I would miss it entirely. I was getting closer and closer...
Then, just as I thought I was about to enter The Deep, the scene again changed, and instead of continuing downwards, I found myself being propelled forwards on a Conveyor...

Hello and welcome to a new edition of Meet the Fractal Community, a forthnightly series of interviews that highlights a member of our community. The series will go back and focus on fractal artists.
Today, let's have a closer look to JanRobbe.
Hello JanRobbe! How are you today?
Okay I guess. Thanks for asking.
Can you please introduce yourself to the community?
Hi, I'm Jan Robbe, fractal apprentice and sounddesign enthusiast. I produce fractal prints and derivatives as FRAMEofMIND. I'm very much focusing on lighting design a lot these days.
How did you discover fractal art?
I came across art by lindelokse and even though I had some 3D modelling experience, it would've been impossible to recreate something like it w

This is a sort of general rant... Sorry if I am offending some of you, if you don't like this please unwatch me...
For sometime I have been seeing a lot of really dreadful fractals... After 9 years on dA I am still seeing many people (not all) posting randomly generated fractals, particularly Apophysis ones as if it is all their own work... Just because you have managed to install the software and click on a few tabs does not make you a fractal artist... I am seeing dreadfully badly rendered images, colouring that quite honestly hurts the eyes to look at... Colours that 'flood' and destroy all the detail in that part of the image...
I am by no means an expert but I am so sick of piles (stacks) of uninteresting images that may well be highly technical but have really lost all impact for me and also for many other dA members... I have seen far better through the years...
The rendering is so poor on some pictures that the 'noise' obliterates the detail...
