Mute Defiancesilence tells the storyMore Like This
from finish to start
there’s no need to
pick any of it apart
the mental brick wall
erected in order to repair
the village that was
pillaged in Vanity’s Fair
built by that inflated ego
that inlfuences your mind
a vicinity of ill-repute
housing the bitterest kind
your heart is a dictator
your mouth a poisoned well
when you go off it’s like
listening to fires of hell
temper flaring red-hot
until all else is eclipsed
the steam from your overblown
anger fuels your caustic lip
which is why this brittle silence
has come to be such a welcome relief
you need to stop trying to breach the
threshhold with your grasping reach
because mute defiance
means jack shit to me

Hi all Fellow Deviants

Hi Jinnger AKA Jinn, would you please tell us about yourself and who your are as an Artist Photographer?
My name is Leow Jinn Jyh (Leow being my surname) and I grew up on the island of Penang, Malaysia but have spent the last 5 years living in Melbourne, Australia. I've just completed my degree in Architecture and am awaiting graduation.
I'm not sure if I'll call myself an artist photographer; I feel that the moniker is much more deserving for someone of a much higher calibre than me. I photograph casually as I am walking among the "life" of the cities I live in or visit. I simply enjoy photographing moments and snippets of them, capturing the fleeting scenes of unk

'Mine is a poetic realism, meaning that it omits, it leaves out, a few things. I start from a certain reality, but at the same time I ensure that it is my own reality: I bend it, shape it to my advantage, for what I want to say'.
'What matters to me is to feel, to look inside myself. I want to understand who I am, what I want, in that moment, in front of that situation, why I am here and not there, why I want this and not that. In my photographs what is important are the ideas inside them, the thoughts, the emotions, the sensations. This is what it matters, even if I don't deny reality'.
'Photography is not difficult - as long as you have something to say'
Collection: Good Luck CharmsMore Like This
The first “lucky charms” may have been items like personal rosaries and crucifixes blessed by priests. Over time, the blessing became less important than the object itself. It seems there are lucky charms endemic to all peoples in all places on Earth, from four-leaf clovers to a rabbit's paw. One such talisman would be the lucky horseshoe, nailed above thresholds with points up – to catch good luck floating by. If you have any coin, button, medallion or other trinket in your pocket when you experience good luck, then voila! – you have a lucky charm as good as any!
