Through HellWalking through hell.More Like This
Not once did I swipe at the devil's tail
or try to saw off his horns.
I stared back at the harsh flames
and stepped over the cracks.
Accepted that life aint always good;
sometimes you can't look back.
With a gaze raised so high,
I think of what's to come.
More ridicule and challenges
and races I must run.
Why do the angels offer a ladder
to the world above so real?
When I was little, this didn't matter
and their holiness has peeled.
Myself, I do rely
and it's my shoulder that I cry
on when the world has made a move.
Well, watch what I can do.
They spit on my face and trample
on my dreams and self-esteem.
But I transform into a shadow
and make my way through unseen.
Out of the mouth of the cave
and I dare a glance.
Looking back at what I gave
and what little I took back.
Didn't cut off the tails or horns.
I can muster up some pride
and some introverted warmth
as I continue on outside.

Don't even look me in the eye.
You have no idea of my name
or how I even get by.
You think you got some clue.
Did you get it off your friends?
I bet they know everything;
got their noses in the trends.
Don't exchange my business.
As if you really know
what happens in my head,
my heart or my home.
I need pictures of your glorious facesOkay, this sounds like an odd request, but I need 2 things:More Like This
1. A photo of you.
2. The year you became an MCR fan.
Don't want to give away too much, but I'm going to make something (which means that your photo will be posted publicly, so please don't give me your picture if you're not comfortable with that.)
You don't need to take a new photo or hold up a sign that says "MCR ROCKS" or anything, just link me to a recent picture. There's no cut-off point for the date the photo had to be taken, just don't send me something from a decade ago. There are no requirements for this except that you must be an MCR fan, and if you're reading this, there's a good chance that you are.
I want as many fans to join in as possible, so please contribute, and feel free to invite your friends even if they're not in this group. Please link me to the photo by Saturday, September 21st. (If you need more time for some reason, let me know.) You can comment here or send me (toad1) a note.

J. Paul Getty - The Liberation of Masterpieces as Open Content
The J. Paul Getty Museum has initiated an Open Content Program to share, freely and without restriction, as many of the Getty’s digital resources as possible.
A first sharing of 4,600 high-resolution images of the Museum’s collection, including many masterworks, has just been made available and all are free to use, modify, and publish for any purpose.
In a brilliant stroke, the Getty Museum has liberated one of the top collections of art in the world not just for access but for use. The museum is literally “beaming up” the great works in its collection as living resour
