I've had the modeling phase of the ED-209 (movie RoboCop from 1987) ready for a long time but I never got around to start texturing it. The incomplete projects are starting to pile up so it's high time to finish some of them. Now I have finally started texturing this guy and so far it has been a lot of fun.

Here's the first of what will eventually be many "little worlds", slightly influenced by stages in Super Mario Galaxy along with original ideas for environments and overall themes that will be given to each one I do in the future. This here being the best theme to kickstart this 3D series, having a typical garden/park type theme thats often seen on the first levels of many adventure games before we finally move on to the more creative and bizarre landscapes. Please note this isn't simply a "replica" of any existing stage from any game, its a completely original idea loosely based on Super Mario Galaxy's theme.

Closeups from the surface in Strolling through Picnic Park
other planets in this series...
2nd: Beach Ball galaxy
3rd: Frozen Flurry galaxy
4th: Channel City galaxy
5th: Banshee Bridge galaxy
6th: Derailed Desert galaxy

The technical work here was long and tedious, first creating the basic elements in Cinema 4D ( picnic table, fountain, bridge, kiddy park and the main body of the planet ) The worst part was then taking it into Vue, and having to manually place heaps of trees, plants and rocks all over the planet, trying to get them to stand correctly from its surface, it went up to over 4 billion polygons in total, and I had to put up with a record 9 program crashes during its creation ( 8 in Vue, 1 during postwork in Photoshop ) I'd love to say more, But I've rambled on long enough now.

Hello Fellow Devianists,

This is a model that was created by me to do a motion-tracking project with for youtube.
I am done now with that project so I thought I might share this with you so you can use it in your project, or just play with it and see how it works! :D '

Expandable castle mark III

You get:

A model from a castle in a basic landscape with 3 bridges and a farm with mill.
-The models are uv-unwrapped to go great with the added textures
Everything is Animated to mechanically expand itself from the ground up
Comes with 2 sets of textures (defuse, spec, bump)
The scene is setup for Cycles
This model was used for a motion-tracking project on youtube.

----------

Please enjoy!
And do tell me if you use it, I would love to see where this castle might 'pop-up' next :P
Happy Blending!

I found this picture I lost many years ago (from my steampunk-like era... ). It has some flaws, but there is a nostalgia flavor in it that I really like.

Done in Blender + Yafaray + GIMP.

I was quite amazed when I saw this concept. So, decided to test myself and try pull it out in 3D. I think i did it well, thats my opinion. After all I'm using Blender for more than 2yr. I know my limits but I'm far from beginning when I couldn't find "Unwrap" button. XD

Based on concept of Belov Pavel which is also called YRobot.

This is a reissue of my wallpaper that is designed to go behind my Steampunk orrery timekeeper widget. Some people seem to like black and white versions so here is one!

Rather than just one size, I have created a zipfile that contains a variety of different size screens.

1024x768
1280x960
1366x768
1280x720
1440x900
1920x1080 <- now included by request!

It works perfectly with my widgets, giving the underwidget and the steampunk orrery a place to 'be'.

That mechanism has now been created and is available here: yereverluvinuncleber.deviantar…

The only condition for downloading and using is that you leave feedback. Please leave a message and rate the icons as it is the only payment I get for creating this small desktop addition :D (Big Grin)

You may use any of my images in your own creations but commercially only with my permission. In all cases I require a credit to the original artist using my name or pseudonym and a link to my own site.

Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't been around much, I've had a few other things occupying most of my time. :(

Anyhow, here's what I was doing with those arcade machines I uploaded earlier. Made with Blender, rendered in Cycles.
Thanks for looking! :D
