The latest free art lottery winner wanted me to paint her Warhammer 40K character - an Eldar girl who is, uh, drafted into the service of the Imperial Inquisition. (Don't ask.) You know the WH40k? It's the universe full of kittens, puppies and bunnies! The kitten/puppy/bunny fans should check it out!!
Darth Giosha is a Darkjediling. (Naming this picture "Sithling" sounded a bit... crap idea. So she's a Darkjediling.)
Nevertheless, Darth Giosha is a True Sith who always eats her Sheevs (with Tabasco and Carbonite Ice Cream). Her Elite Stormtrooper Guard is made of Catgirls (they have cloaking devices so you don't see them in this picture). The Guard is led by Commander Niu Meow, a PURRRfect tactician, who has completed over 1000 Suicide Missions but never, ever lost a battle. Or a trooper. (Catgirls, you see, are immortal.)
Darth Giosha loves designing and crafting insidious Secret Weapons, but she's an absent-minded Darkjediling and always misplacing the plans. Thus she must strap herself into the Electronic Torture Device and interrogate herself until she reveals their locations. The Galaxy is fortunate BECAUSE SHE NEVER BREAKS!
Almost forgot... Her lightsaber actually has FOUR blades!
The Star Destroyer looks odd? Yes, that's the new Asymmetrator-class. Those Rebel fish-creatures go mad in fear when they see one. A great tactical advantage.
PS. I wonder what happens when the girl squad meets a Chryssalid.
PPS. Okay, I've finished the XCOM. Buggy but nice. The Pink Squad is KIA. Except the sniper. She never appeared (the game doesn't allow me to choose the character class - stupid).
PPPS. www.youtube.com/user/SaberEmpe… < If you wish to see what happens to the pink squad, go and check the youtube "let's play" in that link. (Sadly, I don't think the gameplay is on ironman impossible, so they may actually survive the war...)
It won the Silver Award at GenCon 2011 for Best Roleplaying Game Cover Art.
This was actually supposed to be the cover for "Arsenal" - hence why it's an illustration of Shadowrunners in an "Arsenal" - but the writers kidnapped it and forced it onto the book "Attitude". Despite winning an award for the cover, I can't help but know in my heart that if was assigned to an illustration for a Shadowrun book titled "Attitude" that I could BLOW this one away. In contrast, I doubt you'll see a better cover for "Arsenal" than this illustration of an actual "Arsenal".
This is my entry for the WAR event 2011 by and Mercenary Studios!

There comes a time in every concept artist's life, where he/she must create an epic scifi city with ridiculously large monolithic buildings and an overall sense of cliché. Despite my persistent avoidance, that time has come for me today......
Run to the cities of the future, take what we can and bring it back home.
First painting of 2015! Little under 2 hours. Done for the latest lesson on cubebrush.com - Getting Started With Digital Painting Its a new year, no better time to pick up painting and this is the perfect guide to get you up and running like a pro
Origin, purpose, and current whereabouts unknown. All current data is unsubstantiated. • Suspected to be a Top secret prototype developed by Shinra's elite military division, although last sighting of this construct was mid battle with the "Strife" robot.
• Built from recovered elements of the "Jenova Project" and recovered fragments of "Weapons" mecha.
• Powered by a rare type of Black Materia
• The Masamune wielded my this mech is composted of a incredible dense, unknown materiel (suspected to have originated from a Meteor) weighing an an exorbitant amount - it is unknown how this Mecha can lift it at all.
