On Justin. It goes without saying that this is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to write. How do you describe the impact that your absolute best friend has had on you, even in death? How do you write about your idol taking his own life? How do you put into words your feelings about someone that you were so known for adoring that your name will forever be inextricably linked to his? I'm not sure if I even can, but I'd be damned if I didn't at least give it a try.More Like This
By now, it's common knowledge. Justin Spencer Carmical, an Internet reviewer known to many as JewWario and my best friend in all of time and space, died by his own hand on Thursday, January 23, 2014. And as has been said, anyone that knew Justin, a group that I am so incredibly proud to call myself a part of, is most shattered by the fact that the way he left us was the polar opposite of his personality -- at least outwardly, as we all now know.
Do you remember Dug, the talking dog from the Pixar film Up? One of that charac
Holiday Card Project 2013More Like This
It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is simple: do something nice for others. However, if you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who submits a card will be given a free one-month Premium Membership to deviantA

So according to what I just read, there are children in southwest Ethiopia who are Mingi, or "impure". These children are considered to be cursed by spirits, and are believed to bring misfortune to their community if they are allowed to live.
The children who are Mingi are left to die or killed by means of drowning, starvation, or (in infants cases) 'have dirt stuffed in their mouths so that they choke to death.'
Please, pray for an end to this!

My Resolution for this yearIK it's kind of late to write a resolution list especially in the beginning of February but since I've been reflecting on my life and where I'm at I thought it would be a good idea to list all of my goals on here. Anyways here are my goals:More Like This
1. Loose weight: IK this is the most common resolution everyone has seen but since I'm concerned about my health. I don't want to get to the point of being obese and have health problems like high blood pressure and diabetes.
2. Get hands on experience to apply for grad school: Since most graduate programs in Social Work require hand on experience from an internship or volunteer service. I want to be able to apply without having to worry about it at the last moment when I'm about to become a senior.
3. Work on College Algebra: I've been a way from math for 2 yrs and since it's required in my degree to work on college algebra I might plan on doing that over the summer depending on my financial situation.
4. Try to be more extroverted and make new fri
