River curled up beneath one of the apple trees in his parent’s orchard, his green eyes growing distant as he thought back on the events of the day. School had been a bit more interesting than usual, most of the boys tripping over each other in the hallways trying to get a glimpse of the new girl. What he had seen of her didn’t impress him much, from the slight sneer that curved her lips and the cool, aloof way she held herself apart from the others. Perhaps it was nerves associated with being in a new school that caused her to act the way she did, but he doubted it. Then again, he had heard her bitch about being surrounded by backwater idiots as she stalked by him on her way to the principal’s office.
Scrubbing his hand through his blonde hair, River’s thoughts turned another direction. A smile played over his lips, bringing out the dimple in his left cheek that his friends teased made

Hey Loco: I just wanted to let you know that I saw them pouring the foundation to your shack yesterday, and damn man, how much space you really need? You and Doc plan on popping out a little blue baseball team or something? Just kidding man, but really, they got you a killer view of the valley and when I hiked up there yesterday I found something I'm going to have to show you when you get here. Make sure you bring a swim suit.
They are setting you up nice, pendejo. If I had known the severance package for Savior of the Galaxy was going to be this good, I wouldn't have let you do all the work. It's a pretty good trek down to the village though, but nothing an ATV couldn't handle. I think they put you up there so that people wouldn't be knocking on your door all the time, but I don't think you need to worry about that. Pretty much everyone here minds their own business. Not a lot of gawkers, or drama, you know.

To all the Mass Effect FF writers and OCs' ownersRecently, :iconezri-krios: has been running an interesting competition. The rules were simple; you just need to create an OC, write a short snippet about them, or create a visual snapshot. The comp became quite popular. There were many enteritis of rather interesting OCs. From guns for hire to veterans to officers, From cannon species to hybrids to new races. All of those characters offered new opportunities; All of them screamed for their story to be told.More Like This
Unfortunately, there can be only one winner.
But that doesn't mean the other characters are less interesting or enjoyable. They all are very good, and the winner is the one who fits Ezri's story, Resolution, the best. It saddened me to see many of those characters gone. Many of them might be scrapped and never see the light again. Ok, some will come for a small cameo in Resolution, but will it serve them justice? No. Creating a character that's deep and interesting isn't an easy thing. It is fun, but it's also tiring. And, I can

Axios is interesting, powerful, flawed, sympathetic, and could go either way on the paragon/renegade scale. He is something completely different, yet he fits into the ME universe beautifully. Dinky-Mew has clearly worked hard on creating this solid, realistic, plausible, character, with huge potential to be developed in many ways.
For Res specifically, his mind trick is going to be delicious, and have some unexpected consequences when he meets Shep. Axios is both an abused victim and a spoilt brat, not a common combination. He has much learning to do, a
