The clung to the boy, tears in her eyes. "… I'm scared…"
"I know...," he said quietly, petting her head softly, "I know…"
She clung to him tighter. He could feel her shake.
"We never got to make a family… hell; we haven't even gotten the chance to get married yet…"
The couple stayed silent for a while. The booming of the meteors crashing into the earth filled the air as well as distant screaming.
"…How long do you think we have until we die…?" the girl muttered.
The boy couldn't answer. He didn't want to answer…
After a while, he led her to the bed and lay down. The girl laid beside him, resting her head on his shoulder. The two held hands and stared at the ceiling.
Again, the two remained quiet. It was if they were hoping the silence would allow them more time together.
"….Hon…," the girl finally spoke as she rubbed her thumb against his hand, their fingers tightly intertwined.
