RESPECT. THE. MODELS !!!Ok so it seems I'll have to do that too.
I'll keep it simple : read the title.
I've been doing a bit of nude photography these last months and even though the vast majority of the people who visited, faved and commented my photos were totally fine, there's always a small fraction of weirdos/perverts/wathever and that really pisses me off.
I'll say that once : nude/erotic photography is not porn and models are not objects (and that also applies for porn models by the way) !
so everyone have to BEHAVE PROPERLY and RESPECT THE MODELS
you can act as a dickhead with me, attack me, critique me, send me weird messages, BUT... one more time... Don't touch the models.
If you want to write some kind of pervert comment, keep in mind that nor the model, nor the photographer, nor even the people who truly appreciate the photo will like your comment.
You want porn ? Fine. There are plenty of website for that on the net, or even photo galleries here on dA that are more about porn than about nude. Use

Photography NewsletterBig news this month for all you Instagram lovers. They've broken the frame! Instagram has been well-known and even famed for its iconic square format, with many printing companies offering the 'Instagram' style print these days. So why have they changed? 1 in 5 images posted on the photo sharing platform had whitespace around them because the image was captured with another app that didn't have restrictions - You can read more here. So what are your thoughts? Do you agree that Instagram had to move with the times or do you think it should have stuck with Nostalgia? For those of you not familiar with this series, each month we'll be delving into a group that is dedicated to their members and giving back to the dA Community through exposure, hosting regular events and just being an all around awesome place for deviants to settle in and feel welcome.
In a couple sentences, can you please describe what your group is about?
The group was originally founded by ScENeYmE to serve as a hub for photography. I really hope that under my lead, we are still doing fine as there are many other groups out there what are serving with the same purpose.
Aside from lots of hard work, what do you do to keep your members active and involved?
When we plan a change we usually post a poll asking the members what they think about it. We consider t

WHAT IS STOCK?
Everyone knows about copyright. All of your work that you post on dA is copyrighted to you; and that is why dA is allowed to delete or ban people for claiming your work as their own, or referencing your work without your permission. The same license that protects your work does go for other people's work, on and off dA. Remember that!
Creative Commons is the sister to the copyright. It is still a license that says "I MADE THIS. YOU CAN'T SAY YOU MADE IT. You can, however, use it."
Creative Commons is broken into several tags, and these tags dictate how the image can be used. More than one clause can be added. (All of my stock is uploaded as Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial).
ATTRIBUTION - Credit the creator. Usually the uploader will provide how they would like to be credited. Most people on dA require a link back to their dA profile (such as :iconusername: or username . This will show up as either their icon or their username
The 15 Military Tactics of Chinggis KhanI may have a mild to giant obsession with Native Mongolian cultures. Years ago, it started with my fascination for wolves which eventually led me to the country of wolf totems. Then there was of course Chinggis Khan to read about while I was at it. The analphabet who took over Asia after reuniting Mongolian tribes. How the heck is that not interesting enough to research more.More Like This
In school they just teach you there was this guy who took over this and that, during this year and that year, with an army of so and so many men. Exam, grades, goobye, next topic. They don't tell you the juicy stuff unless you go out and read the right books yourself. I'm here to break that spell of school programming.
I learned that Chinggis Khan (real name "Temujin", Chinggis Khan is more like a title) copied some of strategies and survival skills from wolves actually, as did most of Mongolians to survive in their harsh environment. There were laws about respecting each other and being a good host. And death pen

Sometimes You Don't Have to Change the WorldAres is not what I imagined her to be. The great man of myth, muscular and imposing, shining in his armour, with crested helmet and mighty spear, does not stand before me. Instead I face a young woman, hardly more than a girl. She is soft and delicate, with eyes so large they will soak up the world, and skin like spun glass, that glitters in the darkness. A warm glow radiates from within her, not quite visible, but strong enough for me to feel the heat on my face.More Like This
The sound of traffic wafts up to us from the street far below. Heavy clouds block out the night sky, reflecting back the poisonous orange of streetlamps and office blocks. The rooftop is high above it all, and we are invisible. That’s why I chose it, to be alone. The last thing I expected was a visitor, proclaiming to be a god.
“Ares?” I scoff, looking her over with something I imagine to be petulance. If not for the fact that she was so decidedly un-human, and that she had materialised on the rooftop with n

Time is a human construct ably abetted by the sky, the stars. We looked at the sky and decided to delineate day and night, to make them into two halves, when in fact they were just fine whole.
Prehistory – our prehistory – we were overwhelmed by the sky. Cave paintings and inscriptions are a myriad of hypothetical disasters, stars falling, bursting, chelating. For we saw the Milky Way in all its wonder, all white dust, blue light and rosy curls, a solid mass hanging heavy in the sky.
A girl has prehistory as well. Before she is born, before she is even the star twinkling in her mother’s eye, her parents meet. They fall in love because the stars deem them compatible. The mother, an Aquarius, full of intellect and dreams. The father, a Taurus, rooted so firmly in the ground that he has enough foundation to lift the world. Both are fixed signs, revolving around one another, becoming the binary.

EvanescenceYou’re supposed to make love the night of your wedding day, but John and I did not. Frankly, I don’t know how anyone can. We were exhausted. Our day started at the crack of dawn to get ready and was filled with constant adrenaline, standing, travelling, photos, socializing, speeches, dancing; before we knew it, it was 3 am and we had no energy left for anything else.More Like This
So, the night of our wedding day, John and I just sprawled our clothes across the chairs in our fancy hotel suite and crawled into bed. Both laying on our backs, looking up at the beautifully painted ceiling, we sleepily recalled our favourite moments of the day. Like when his father was the first to get on the dance floor and make a total fool of himself, and when my maid of honour made half the room tear up with her beautiful speech about how happy we’ve been from the very start.
I nuzzled my face into his collarbone and murmured, “This has been the best day of my lif
Mr SnideyMr Snidey slowly lowered himself into his worn old armchair, the seat indented to fit his shape, for so long had he occupied it. His knees creaked like ancient tree trunks as he descended. As he settled himself down, he spread his arms against the armrests luxuriously, much like a king would on a grand throne. Every movement he made appeared to occur in slow motion, his body no longer able to deal with life at what most people would describe as normal speed.More Like This
He slowly removed his brown slippers and lifted his legs to rest on the footstool before him. Getting up to turn on the television was an arduous task for Mr Snidey, and he tired easily. He exhaled deeply, and closed his eyes briefly, savouring the calming few moments when his aged muscles began to relax.
His face was deeply wrinkled; marking the many years he had inhabited this Earth. His skin was yellowed with age, much like the pages of a worn book, and was scattered haphazardly with liver spots. His pale eyes radiated kindness;

soft, inviting colors seep into my vision through the corner of my eye, the flutter of paper thin wings seemingly defying the constant noise of the idling car engine and reaching my ears.

they must be enchanting.
they're probably very small. really cute, i bet.
i do not want to see the butterflies.
i do not look out my window.
instead, i stare straight ahead at the rear of the passenger seat, waiting for my mother to return to the car with my refilled prescription, the one that will make the butterflies go away and return the feeling of security to me.

Andre Kertesz:André Kertész (French: [kɛʁtɛs]; 2 July 1894 – 28 September 1985), born Kertész Andor, was a Hungarian-born photographer known for his groundbreaking contributions to photographic composition and the photo essay. In the early years of his career, his then-unorthodox camera angles and style prevented his work from gaining wider recognition. Kertész never felt that he had gained the worldwide recognition he deserved. Today he is considered one of the seminal figures of photojournalism. Expected by his family to work as a stockbroker, Kertész pursued photography independently as an autodidact, and his early work was published primarily in magazines, a major market in those years. This continued until much later in his life, when Kertész stopped accepting commissions

The ammount of work on here in all differenet 'genre' is staggering.
IF I had ever thought I would like Anime/Manga/Fan art....in the old days I would have laughed. However I have seen the techniques/mastery/inventiveness of this art form. Brilliant.
Still have a problem with Fractal ONLY because I grew up in the 60's and everything was 'psychedelic' and weird shapes. After one Year of this then, I had colours seeping into my poor brain.
B&W: Disliked intensely lack of colour. I think this was only because I was Born and lived in Sri Lanka where Colour was paramount. However now, I really do see how b&w can make pics very much stronger.
Traditional art: Pure art in every form (for me). I am aghast at the range on d/a I really am. Bloody brilliant all of you.
