Beautiful WorldI gazed down the sidewalk that seemed to stretch endlessly into the horizon. The streetlights that dimly light the path were all out. Luckily for me, the night sky was clear, and the full moon and stars veiled my world in a pale glow. I looked back at the path behind me, and just stared for a while. It seemed almost symbolic that both the path behind and the path before me were blank and devoid of light.More Like This
The night was frigid, and I was beginning to become thoroughly chilled. Figures that the one night I really needed it, I had left my jacket behind. Then again, the cold weather was probably just about to end. The night was unseasonable cold for mid-March, and I hadn't expected such coldness upon opening the door to leave. Of course, like anyone else, I thought it was a little cool at worst and that I could handle it, but after an hour without the generated warmth I would have had inside my own home, I was beginning to suffer in the unforgiving midnight air.
