It's been a while since my last post - I've been keeping very very busy here in Cambridge (if you are around gimme a shout!) I managed to squeeze this one out while trying the new PS CS6 Let me know what you all think. C&C welcome!
For centuries, a lot has showed an inquisitive interest in finding the truth about how these secretive and shy creatures lived. Yet persecuted without reason to such an extent that they have to hide themselves away in the most remote areas of the earth ... discovering a new way to be themselves through it's limited freedom.
Wyrms learned on a hearsay that strangers are coming along to wipe out their generation and to suppress their mutation. Then yet they've come to the wrong place.
Amidst a war of attrition, the legendary beasts strengthened it's armed forces on sentinel duty, defensively watchful upon the uninvited.
At first it was a speedpainting playing with colors and shapes but later on it came like this, added extra details using custom brushes and playing with the patterns and overlays of some diff photos to give details. Done in photoshop cs5.
This mornings speedpainting. See if I can keep up 1 a day XD. Doubt it but still, here's today's one. Think i'll be working with these colors a lot more! A foundry on an offworld Colony - thinking about Riddick.

Hey guys! about time I uploaded the stuff I have been working on for a game that got released a good month back, possibly even longer ago than that haha. Silly me never got around to doing it.
The game I have been working on is The Godfather, my first project here at Gamesys and you can play the demo here: www.jackpotjoy.com/game/thegod… I'm proud of what we (me and the whole team working on the game) managed to do! This is also my first big background ever painted..... so it was quite the challenge, but definitely good to see where it got . I had to paint it in the style Aaron Griffin set for the game, which proved to be quite difficult at the time. I learned LOADS though!
The image is the background image of the game during the 'respect' feature, hence the title ^_^ More to come!
Aaaaaand here's another background for the multiline slot-game The Godfather! ^^ I had a lot of fun painting this one, as I loved the mood and the antique stuff. Tried hard to stick to the Minmitar style, building off of the T3 stylings to battlecruiser size
Also studied CCPs concept presentation, guess this is for modelling so should be a clean representation
Modelled in Max, plain grey model. Rendered then paintover in PS using various techniques ( aircraft part photos, textures and digital painting ). Time taken to properly trace over ortho views in PS usign varying line thicknesses

It is long time ago what I played EVE online (14 day trial) so I hope the EVE online creative team can chose better balanced properties of this ship ( when it will win, of course )
Something of a science vessel, having powerful sensors and advanced technology needed for the exploration and surveillance of planets, uncharted systems and enemy territories. Focusing on sensing/tracking/navigation modules with a monstrous computer, it can cover great distances and quickly inspect its surroundings.
Although a science ship, due it to the potentially hazardous nature of it's missions it is not lacking in firepower or defenses. It can easily survive small engagements alone, and escape before real trouble arrives, and can serve as a capable, if not improvised support ship when with a fleet. The Atlas possesses great energy capacity for intensive warping, and utilizing high-end modules for long durations, but lacks the sturdiness to contend with larger or more numerous ships for very long.
Or something like that… I'm just glad to participate and see all the other awesome designs.
Another picture from the golden age serie. Its a project of my friend and I think Ill do more. Small american town in 50's after the people left it. Its a melancholic\romantic mood, so a bit unusual for me.

This was one of the last assignments I did for James Paick's online masterclass. It was a very enriching experience. A great thanks to James for sharing his precious knowledge and also a special thanks to my father for convincing me to take the class. Always learning...
